Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green will most likely miss multiple games with a right hamstring injury that he reaggravated for a second time in a month.

“It’s tough,” Suns forward Dillon Brooks said. “Injuries suck, but he’ll work hard and be diligent with it and we’ll see him back.”

Green reinjured his right hamstring late in the first quarter of a 114-103 road win on Nov. 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Phoenix has yet to give an official medical update on Green, but he’s expected to sit out the Nov. 10 game against the New Orleans Pelicans (2-7) at Mortgage Matchup Center.

The 6-4 guard missed Phoenix’s first eight games with a right hamstring strain.

“It's tough,” Suns star guard Devin Booker said. “I've definitely been through it. We're going to rally around him. He’s been putting in a lot of work to get back on the court. His debut the other night was off the charts.”

The Suns (5-5) have won four of their last five games after a 1-4 start. Phoenix entered Saturday’s game fully healthy for the first time all season, but lost Green again to injury.

“There’s some good in there,” Booker said. “We saw a small glimpse of it with us all together, but the priority is to make sure he’s healthy and for sure fully ready to go next time."

Green made his Suns debut Nov. 6 against the Clippers (3-6), hitting six 3s in scoring a game-high 29 points after the eight-game absence.

He had two points in the Nov. 8 game before coming up lame in the first quarter after driving into the lane and kicking the ball out to Ryan Dunn for a corner 3.

Green immediately started hobbling towards the Suns' bench and stood in the corner, grabbing at his right hamstring.

“Soon as you see (Green) go out, you just feel for him,” Suns coach Jordan Ott said after the game. “Worked so hard to get back. Such a great night the other night. Highs and lows of sports in 48 hours.”

Green checked out the game with 22.3 seconds left in the first quarter as two Suns staff members helped him off the court to the visiting locker room at Intuit Dome.

“I checked in on him (at halftime),” Suns forward Royce O’Neale said. “He was in good spirits. It sucks to see him go down again. We’re just going to hold it down, make sure he get right.”

The Suns proceeded to build a 14-point halftime lead and led by as many as 18 points in the second half in upending the Clippers for a second time in three days.

“We just talked about picking him up and just playing for our brother,” Suns guard Collin Gillespie said. “He went down. It was tough to see, trying to fight his way back that many days, weeks. It was a good win for us. Feel for JG coming back, but other guys stepped up.”

Green initially suffered the hamstring injury in training camp leading up to the Oct. 3 preseason opener against the Los Angeles Lakers in Palm Desert.

He then reaggravated it the following week during the team’s weeklong stay in China for two preseason games against the Brooklyn Nets. Green worked his way back to playing and had a dynamic debut, setting a franchise record for most made 3s in a Suns debut.

“Body-wise, I felt really good,” Green said after the Nov. 6 game. “Overall, I was just really excited to get out there. I was telling the guys I couldn't even sleep. Usually, I take a pregame nap. I couldn't even get my nap in. I was so excited."

Now Green is expected to miss more games after reinjuring his right hamstring. Green didn’t miss a game in his two previous seasons with the Houston Rockets.

The Suns acquired Green, Brooks, and the 10th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Khaman Maluach, from the Rockets in the Kevin Durant trade.
