I think Jalen Green should be the first one off the bench with Colin starting. :)
I completely agree. Jalen has to modify his game to play with Book and the others. He should come off the bench until he is able to do that. Otherwise you are just treating him as entitled because of his draft position and talent (but not his actual play).

Jalen Duren and his camp “don’t necessarily” want to be in Detroit long-term because they do NOT feel valued, per

I never said I don't have faith in Maluach. I said it's a lot to ask of a 19-year-old.

What's the plan if Williams' foot goes down in November? Hope not a plan.
Actually that is exactly the plan. Gambo said they have him on back to backs to start for Williams, and there's an assumption injuries would get Maluach into the lineup more.

What if Maluach just outplays Williams? :shrug:

I didn't say you didn't. I said I had MORE faith in Maluach than you. I'm not worried if Williams goes down. The young pup needs playing time to evolve.

I kinda want to see Koa Pete in a small ball center spot in a game we have won. Just for curiosity sake.

Jalen Green for Turner, Kevin Porter Jr., and a future first works for me.

Bad trade. Gives us more of a logjam at C, pushing Maluach further down the depth chart. Turner is often injured so he's not a real upgrade and he's making close to $30 million a year for the next 4 years, which is far too long to be tied up in that deal. At least Green comes off the books this summer.

There's a reason no one else wants Turner on his contract.

Correct. Having three quality centers on reasonable contacts isn’t good enough? Must we trade for an overpaid one to make our cap situation worse?

If it ain’t broke, fix it until it is.

Now if we want to trade Green and Highsmitb or something for Garland, I would be ok with that. Rounds out the roster.

The trade saves New Orleans $5.7M in salary and helps clear the way to sign free agent Bennedict Mathurin.Johnson salary was not allowed to be aggregated until Tuesday (2 months from the previous trade).

REPORT: The Kings rejected a Trae Young for Zach LaVine trade, per
@James_HamNBA

“They said no because they knew that the second he got off a plane, he would want an extension and the Kings were not fully prepared to be in the long-term Trae Young business.”

Fischer: Kawhi Leonard trade to Raptors hasn't been finalized yet because, among other reasons, the Clippers are "still working through their new front office structure" following Ballmer, Frank suspensions.

Updates on Jalen Duren, via
@sam_amick, @hunterpatterson
:- Last offer to Duren was 5 years in the $190M range

-Kings still have strong interest in Duren, could make room to sign him on max deal next summer if he takes qualifying offer this year

- League sources say Duren has "3 very serious suitors in all"

- Duren did not attend Cade Cunningham-coordinated minicamp in August or team party at owner Tom Gores' home on Labor Day weekend

P.S. To process the Kawhi trade, the NBA first needs to approve the Clippers' temp governor.

Ballmer and one of his alternates, Gillian Zucker, are both banned. Ballmer's other alternate?

Clippers co-owner — and Aspiration investor — Dennis Wong. But would the NBA approve that?

Jalen Duren wants to join the Kings, if the Pistons won’t offer a higher salary, per
@TheAthletic
.

Sacramento is willing to offer Duren a max, plus he sees himself as the co-building block alongside Darius Acuff Jr.

Domantas Sabonis would need to be traded to make this happen.

Cam Thomas continues to receive little to no interest as a 24 year old unrestricted free agent.

Thomas, who was cut by the Nets and Bucks last season after taking his qualifying offer, might have to go overseas to the EuroLeague in order to rehabilitate his current NBA image.
