2025 NFL Schedule Preview: NFC South originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Our schedule breakdown continues with four teams in a wide-open NFC South, who will play against the AFC East and NFC West, as well as six games in division.
ATLANTA FALCONS: SCHEDULE BY WEEK
CAROLINA PANTHERS: SCHEDULE BY WEEK
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS: SCHEDULE BY WEEK
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS: SCHEDULE BY WEEK
LAGHEZZA'S LEAN:
Outside of New Orleans who are now forced turn to rookie QB Tyler Shough after incumbent Derek Carr chose to retire, this division's ripe for the taking. Beneficial schedules should boost each team's chances to go over their win total, especially Carolina who drew DAL from the NFC East, where Atlanta plays WAS and the Buccaneers play PHI.
It would've been considered a joke just 15 months ago, but if the Panthers ease my fears regarding the defense, even they have a chance at the division title — if they can play .500 versus Tampa Bay.
Sure, the Bucs still hold the top spot as preseason favorite, but they also have to go to Detroit in addition to hosting the Eagles. If the seemingly difficult schedule affects divisional balance by just a game or two, Bucs faithful may be set up for a letdown.
If I had to bet on anything, it'd be this division not being settled until Week 18.
