The Philadelphia 76ers finished the 2024-25 season with a 24-58 record which was the fifth-worst in the league. That didn't bode well for their championship expectations, but it did give them a good chance of at least keeping their top 6 protected pick.
The Sixers will have a 64% chance of keeping their first-round pick when the lottery rolls around on May 12 from Chicago. That night will give President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and his staff and a better idea of how to move forward with their offseason. There are some needs on the roster that can be fixed in the draft.
With that being said, should the Sixers end up keeping their pick, there are some talented players in this draft. A mock draft put together by ESPN has the Sixers selecting Jeremiah Fears out of Oklahoma:
In 34 games for the Sooners in 2024-25, Fears averaged 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists while shooting 43.4% from the floor overall and 28.4% from deep. He would be a nice addition to add to the roster as another ball-handler and somebody who can put the ball in the basket at a high level as well. Coach Nick Nurse is always looking for another reliable ball-handler he can turn to.

Fears' late-season performances in the SEC and NCAA tournaments highlighted the significant star power and potential he possesses as a primary shot creator who can get paint touches at will, score in a variety of ways and find teammates creatively on the move.
