Well that's the salary structure of the league at the moment. Hopefully Clark along with other promising young players can start bringing in big revenue and we can start seeing much bigger contracts than that.

It's my understanding that most (if not all) of her NIL contracts are converting to pro contracts in the WNBA. She will still be pulling in more than enough money to make the WNBA salary not an issue for her.
