Thread for MLB trades
Speaking of trades, I am guessing that Giants fans are going to be really angry on their return of the Madison Bumgarner trade (when he gets traded). The return is never enough when you are trading a post season legend.imho.
Giants' Madison Bumgarner trade return 'not going to be great'
If you're hoping that the Giants get back a franchise-changing package of prospects in a trade for ace Madison Bumgarner, we've got bad news for you.
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic and Fox Sports had this to say on Monday:
At the time of that trade, only Calhoun was considered a highly-touted prospect. He entered the 2017 season as the No. 92 overall prospect in the game according to Baseball America. The 24-year-old has gotten brief cups of coffee in three seasons with Texas, but has yet to establish himself.

Red Sox announced they've acquired RHP Andrew Cashner and cash considerations from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for minor league INF Noelberth Romero and minor league OF Elio Prado. Boston’s 40-man roster is now at 40.
Now NYY will make a move, probably for a big piece like Mad Bum. I wonder what SF can get for him being a 3 month rental (NYY definitely has the $$$ to re-sign him if they trade for him). You have to figure all the contenders will be making a run (PHI, CHC, NYY, HOU, LAD & BOS).

Homer Bailey has been traded to Oakland for Kevin Merell, a left handed hitting infielder in the minors. Merrell will report to AA Northwest Arkansas. Will not be added to Royals 40 man. Merrell was a first round draft pick of the A’s in 2017
