Jim Nantz asked Bill Self during his open practice interview what message he wanted to give Kansas fans ... “We love ‘em, we’re thankful for the support ... and at least stay sober enough to stay out of the river.”

I have to say even though they got routed last night that was a very impressive run by Kansas to get that far. Very short roster both in numbers and in size, but they're so well coached and bought into the system and got all the way to the final 4 with a team that frankly didn't look nearly that good earlier in the year.

Very impressive group of coaches in the Final 4. Self did a great job, Beilein again, Moser at Loyola, and of course Jay Wright.

More proof that talent isn't everything in college hoops, I read somewhere there are only 3 McD's AA's in the final 4 this year total. Coaching and experience are winning out.
