Group of Death they say , mehh... Germany and Spain go in the tournament as the by far clear cut favorites so it did not matter to me who Germany draws. Got to beat them all anyway.

and now to wait til June. Both hosts get a pretty good chance at advancing, England almost always has an easy draw, hopefully they choke again. Group C should be very competitive as it includes the world champs, Croatia has been playing great and Italy seems to be on their way back up. The group of death should be absolutely electric, can't wait.

Super early predictions:

Group A: Poland, Russia
Group B: Germany, Netherlands
Group C: Spain, Croatia
Group D: France, Sweden

Decide to go all upsets or what? No Germany? And GREECE? Poland is the best team in that group, just like Germany is by far the best team in the Group of Death.

Poland (3 starters from DOMINATING Dortmund side in Germany)
Czech Republic (Peter Czech is on a high right now after Champions League)

Group B
Germany (My favorite to knock off Spain)
Netherlands (Probably will choke in semis, but will get past Portugal easily--they have the best striker in the tournament)

Group C
Spain (Will make it to the final, don't see a lot of competition until then)
Italy (Croatia's good and Italy has lost a bunch lately, but I just have a hunch)

Group D
France (Easily the best team in the group)
England (Probably the worst of the advancing teams, but that's because Sweden and Ukraine are even worse.)

I'm not big on Italy or Spain right now, but they'll make it out of the group. I'd LOVE Ireland to make it out, but that just isn't happening. I don't know how the next round matchups will shake out, so I'll just have to think of my pick to win it all. I'm vacillating between the Netherlands and Germany, frankly. Hmm, let's see if Oranje can finally do it it on the big stage. I'll pick the Dutch to win it all.

Wow, what an electrifying opening match! It had everything! Controversial officiating, great goals, red cards, a penalty not given for handball, a penalty missed, different teams dominating different halves...wow!

Geez, watching the Italy-Croatia game around the 36th minute, and I'm wondering which team is which...Italy isn't diving, and Croatia are being a bunch of diving babies. Weird!
