we only see what we want to see.
I don't think 6-10 is necessarily a terrible season... more like a bump in the road. As to "no hope for the future", there's that nasty habit of putting words in people's mouths. I have HUGE hope for the future. I just think we'll take a step back this year. And if you're comment is in re: Max Hall not ready to start and that's why I have "no hope for the future" I'm just simply reacting to the Jesus Complex everyone has about him. I like his moxie, but even if he was the number 1 pick in the draft, he'd likely suck ass his first year.
I'm just looking for growth this season from players like Toler, Campbell, Beanie and one of the young WRs, while being somewhat competitive during most of the season to keep me interested beyond our youth. I probably should have said 7-9 with the schedule we have, but I always like to prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised.
I don't know, Cheese. The Bills went 6-10 last season. Was their season not necessarily bad? In Aaron Rogers' first season as a starter, the Packers went 6-10. Was that season not necessarily bad?
I know that it's been a while since the Cards had a 6-10 season, but I don't remember 2005 or 2006 being a lot of fun. That's a lot of losses in a row to endure, especially if the team ends up improving down the stretch and we begin struggling out the gate.
I guess my question is if the team is playing .500 ball down the stretch, why do you think Anderson would be benched in December so that Max Hall can get starts? If the team is 6-7 heading into the home stretch, why give up on the season?
I think that this team fades back into mediocrity and we actually end up in limbo going into next years' draft. I don't like Anderson and I don't think Hall is the answer to any kind of question. We're such a veteran team at this point that I don't think that we can struggle out of the gate and then improve as the season wears on. The only reason I see the team at 7-9 is because we're
so talented right now, a lot of guys are playing for contracts, and we have a seemingly easy schedule.
But you don't win in this league without a quarterback, and we don't have one right now.
