    So we get Dobbs for half the season as a bridge and basically trade down from a back of the 5th (eagles) to a mid or early 6th (Vikings). The 7th we got from the browns cancels out. And we beat the cowboys. Plus for the most of it all at least the games or half the games were watchable...

    A mixture of the great Antonie Gates, Gronk and Shockey. I tend to agree. He is a stud blocker, route runner with speed and seperation ability. Top that with his amazing catch radius and tackle breaking ability unlike our current starting TE. But with that said, our defense is pretty bare...

    Disagree (respectfully). Jones was the 3rd string tackle for only 1 side (Left). He wasn’t 2nd or 4th. Just my opinion. So I have no problem with the timing of the trade if a team offered a 5th.

    Dobbs was not traded for a 5th round pick. He was traded for the trade difference between a 5th and 7th. We swapped picks with cleveland and got dobbs. Not saying it's good or bad but he was not traded for a 5th straight up and to be honest the selection of a 5th vs 7th rounder still equates...

    Basically today we got a 5th and 7th and gave up a 5th and a 7th so we didn’t lose any ground in draft capital. But unfortunately we did give up 2 players (Jones and Simmons) for a backup QB. I also wonder if Simmons would have been cut?

    Didnt they sign a TE from the Eagles off their practice squad or something? Maybe a JG guy? :) I agree, the C and TE positions would have been nice to fill but maybe Free Agency (Post draft)?
