    What does Purdue do?

Couldn't agree more. The fact that we turn out so many quality defensive players yet we consistently have an underacheiving squad is indicative of coaching. Hopefully once the new coach steps in in 2009 Spack is given his walking papers.

    What does Purdue do?

Purdue has produced some great DEs (Rosevelt Colvin, Chike Okeafor, Shawn Phillips, Anthony Spencer) and OLBs for the NFL recently. Too bad Purdue's defense has been underwhelming since 2001. Their workout room must be amazing. And DevilFan02 was right - there is NOTHING to do on campus or in...

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

This was a $60 million+ production and it didn't even open in the top 10! Hopefully this spells the end of Uwe Boll's theatrical releases.

    The Orphanage

Went and saw this Friday night and I can't recommend this enough. Very well made, very well-acted, and very, very spooky. Any movie can crank up the audio and make someone jump, but this is the first movie in a long time that actually had the hair on the back of my neck stand up for extended...

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

He's said in interviews that he is in business because his movies make their money back in domestic DVD sales and overseas box office. The fact that he keeps the budgets at 25 million or less has helped him, although I read an interview with him where he said that In the Name of the King needs...

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

I plan on paying to see The Orphanage and then sneaking in to see this afterwords. The MST3K fan in me insists I see it but I'll be damned if I'm paying for it!

    Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem

Agreed! I was blown away by that trailer but so kudos to the editors of it for getting me to part with my money. Man, did that movie suck, though! I thought that Southland Tales would remain the worst movie of 2007 but this may have bumped it. "Are you looking at me, or the clock?"

Wildcat homers, I need your opinion on one of your players.

Louis Holmes was consistently the last DL off the line after the ball was hiked. Every Cats game I watched he was the last guy to make contact with an OT. He can't shed a block to save his life, either. I don't see him doing anything on Sundays.

The Official Mike Stoops Unemployment Thread

Good win for the Cats. UCLA isn't a great team but they're no Washington State, either. It looks like the offense is finally starting to figure out Dykes' offense, so my question is if Stoops pulls off an upset against either Oregon or Arizona State do you give him at least one more year to...

    Best-selling console games of all-time

I would love to know how many college students failed a semester or two when this game came out. I can think of two or three on my dorm floor alone!

Chiefs | Team works out Q. Moses

Quentin Moses = Dennis Johnson (the DE we took in the 3rd round a few years back that was supposed to be some sort of pass rushing phenom)

I am Legend - by Richard Matheson

The book isn't very terrifying or anything, but it definitely creates a great atmosphere of unease and disgust. Some of the imagery would be almost unfilmable for a movie, I think.

The Official Mike Stoops Unemployment Thread

My big concern w/ Stoops is that in watching UofA games for the past several years I can't see many players who have progressed under his coaching. It doesn't seem like players progress from year-to-year. This season he was returning most of his defense and it didn't look like a year of...

    Classic movies of the 80's

ROAD HOUSE!!!! Nothing says 80's like Patrick Swayze in a mullet kicking ass w/ his philosophy degree from NYU. "Pain don't hurt". COMMANDO - when I think of over-the-top action movies from the 80's you have to think of Ah-nuld and his schlock masterpiece. One-liners galore, and the gayest...

    What is going on!!!???

I'm not upset about that. I've always thought Rattay was a decent QB and surprised he never got a shot w/ the Cards. I prefer him to Testaverde.

    The bad calls

My sentiments exactly. While yesterday was one of the ugliest wins I've ever seen the Cardinals get, 9 times out of 10 we're on the receiving end of that. It's just good to see us get a road win!

I am Legend - by Richard Matheson

Hell House is a very cool book as well! You'll have to post your thoughts when you're done with them.

    The Darwin Awards

I've been teetering on whether or not to rent this one. I love reading about the Darwin Awards but something about the movie's description wasn't doing it for me. Thanks for the head's up!

    World War Z

Anyone else read this? This has to be one of the better *light* books I've read in the last year. It takes place in the not-too-distant future and is a first-hand account of survivors of the zombie apocalypse. It's presented as a government researcher who travels the globe and interviews...

I am Legend - by Richard Matheson

I guarantee they change the ending for the movie. I'm interested to see how much of the book makes it into the film. My favorite part was how the guy investigated the plague and offered a scientific explanation of vampirism.
