    My father took me to see Stan's last game when I was 11. I "knew", but didn't fully understand the importance of the occasion. At that time, he held 17 MLB records and went on to be a first ballot HOF'er. And he was a better man and person. RIP Pete

    Not really sure it was the BEST, but one so long ago I only heard it on the radio as a kid: Pat Fischer stripped the ball from the receiver and returned it for a TD against the Steelers. This was when the Steelers were a laughingstock franchise, pre-merger days. Pete

    I grew up in StL (Kirkwood) and was 8 when the Cards moved from Chicago. Although I live in West Virginia, it’s so far east it’s part of the DC metro area. Here there are lots of Steeler fans. There were more Redskins fans when they were good. Lots of Dallas fans too. Card fans? Few and...
