    Trading Nash (Realistic Possibilities)

Don't think we should trade Nash - would rather try to reload one more time this summer. And I think we let him walk before trading him, because we'll never get equal value (for what he brings/means to the team) for a one-year rental in a straight-up trade. Only way I see a Nash trade now...

    Lakers game... hello???

Ugh. The Lakers are such an annoying team, even when the are not the best in the league. They just keep on acting like they're the best. The worse they are in a given year, the dirtier they play, daring the refs to foul them out of their own arena. A city and a team and a roster have rarely...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Riiight. I chose to ignore it cause I figured Cheese misread me or I wasn't clear. I was ranting about folks who only complain about the team no matter what happens, not about folks who are frustrated with the moves and can explain why and what they would do differently. I'm still not sure...

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

Strange, given the disconnect on the other thread between us, but I mostly agree with you here...well, mostly. :) I actually think horrible is worse...being a perpetual lottery team that never gets better, and celebrates a single first round playoff loss once every decade. However, being...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Agreed on no unprotected picks, come hell or high water. And on the ideas for some players that would work at the 2. I do figure Fyre would start until they see what Morris can do, though. And yeah, competitive, but no contender. That's what they seem to be going for at this point...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Like I said in the other post, either reading comprehension or I wasn't clear. Your overreaction, though, says more than I ever can in response.

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Well, either there is a reading comprehension problem here, or I was not being very clear. I'll assume the latter and try again. My first point was not to say fans cannot be critical of the team or the moves they make. I was bitching about folks who hate EVERYTHING the team does...

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

Fair enough. I'm torn in this case (talent vs need). It would really come down to how they rated them. Shame they didn't work out Leonard.

Just curious, how do you define horrible? What kind of results would that require?

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

This is disappointing if true. I figured he dropped due to something teams had learned (character, injury, something). Once the Spurs traded for him, I wondered if the Suns had checked him out thoroughly enough before deciding to pass. We'll see down the road how he pans out. Could be a...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Wow. Nice post there, 'dude'. I must have hit a nerve. You start off with a 'screw you', insinuate that I'm not a fan, and call me delusional. All because I see the glass as a little less than half full, rather than mostly empty and full of piss and vinegar. Stay classy.

Betcha Earl never becomes a starter or plays major minutes while the Magic are a playoff team.

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

Right. Since the FO has made it clear they want to see Markieff in the rotation next year getting playing time. It's exactly like the Earl Clark situation.

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

LOL. Ah yes, the highly rational "we can't win a title this instant so blow it all up" argument. There is something to be said for playing competitive, winning basketball and seeing what happens. Who figured the Suns would make the WCF and push the Lakers in 2010? Most didn't think...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

I don't think so. Thompson is probably too green to start and play 30 min a game. I see Cleveland making some trades, but more likely Vareajo (sp?) to a contender/playoff team. Cavs are going to still be pretty bad next year unless they pull of some amazing deal for more veteran talent...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

And what is up with Suns fans these days? Are we that beaten down by this last year? Crimmy - whatever the Suns do, the haters come to play. Keep a pick? Hate it. Trade a pick? Hate it. Make a trade? Hate it. Don't make a trade? Hate it. SMH at so much hate for a...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

I'm fine with the pick for a couple of reasons. It's not sexy, but is very practical if the Suns are keeping Nash/Hill/Gortat and trying to make the playoffs next year. First, this draft is weak on top-end talent. Full of 20 or so good future role players. In that situation, you match...

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

BTW, this is why I like Jimmer and Biyombo. Both seem smart and work hard to improve their games. Those things and a clearly defined skill at a level higher than most peers (shooting, rebounding/blocked shots) will make someone a career in the league.

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

While I'm not sold on Shumpert going as high as 13 in the draft, he does have a few things over DJ that make a difference....like an addtional 20 pounds of muscle, 3 inches of wingspan, 8 inches of standing vert, 9 inchces of running vert. Oh, and solid jumpshot mechanics (although he needs a...

2011 NBA FINALS: Dallas Mavericks Vs Miami Heat

Lol. Don't worry about that opinion. Like Webber would know good defense if it walked up and bit him in the *ss. Bill Russell he was not.

2011 NBA FINALS: Dallas Mavericks Vs Miami Heat

And besides, this is a very satisfying ending to the season, esp if the NBA goes into lockout mode for awhile. The idea of the Heat as champs going into a lockout was almost too much to handle. A new team as the champ not named the Heat, Lakers, Celtics, Spurs, Bulls, Pistons or Rockets...

2011 NBA FINALS: Dallas Mavericks Vs Miami Heat

Congrats to the Mavs! They were the better team since game 4 and earned this one thoroughly! Great to see Dirk, Marion and Kidd get rings. I can even handle seeing Chandler and Terry get 'em. They all played like a real, honest-to-goodness grown-up basketball team. Good offense and...

Suns look to trade up to #2 for Williams

Please. So would you have traded Dirk as the Mavs where getting rolled out of the playoffs the last few years, often in embarrassing fashion? How are the non-playoff years due to Nash? The team dumped other talent (Amare, Marion, etc) and didn't reload. Hence, worse results. And I...

2011 NBA FINALS: Dallas Mavericks Vs Miami Heat

This is a really good Finals. They are evenly matched. Heat have more talent, Mavs have more experience. Be interesting to see if the Mavs supporting players keep showing up. If so, they are tough to beat now that they can play physical, 'bruiser' playoff ball with just enough...
