    #1 in sacks

We are also leading the league in yardage differential. Need to outgain them by 194 to beat new England. Not a bad stat for a .500 team. Also need to hold them to 60 yards to be the top ranked defense. This one is unlikely but with some more sacks, who knows.

    David Johnson

Just checking in, he had about 30 yards in the first 5 minutes of the game, now this. I can't believe it.

    David Johnson

While playoff hopes faded a few weeks ago, there is still something to root for other than a Cardinal victory. Today David Johnson can become the first NFL player ever with at least 100 yards from scrimmage in all 16 games. With Ezekiel Elliot not starting today, he has already won the league...

article: Cards Having the Worst Season of All

Totally disagree about the Cardinals having the "worst season" of any team. Stat of the day: The Cardinals lead the league in yardage differential, and it's not even close. Do they have problems, yes certainly. But don't put them in the category with the Browns whether it is the absolute worst...

The season is far from over

If the Bills hold on tonight (up by 7 now), the Cardinals win next week against the lowly 49ers, and Seattle loses at New England, we are tied for the division lead. A bye is nice when every one in your division loses.

Gameday thread Jets at Cardinals 10-17-16

After watching years and years of a nonexistent run game, lots of pass yards and few victories, I am totally fine with a game like this. The pass game has too many weapons, it will come back around.

I remember that game too, total domination against a team that was very consistent during the 70s. And 316 rushing yards. I was wondering what the Cardinal record is for rushing in a game. Then I looked at the 79 game (that year they were only 5-11) where they beat the Vikings 37-7 and they...

This was total domination. I thought the season was over, now they control their destiny to get right back in the race next week.

Gameday thread Jets at Cardinals 10-17-16

I was surprised to see this, checked it out and sure enough it is right. Significant for me since this was my first Cardinal game ever as a 9 year old and when my dad taught me the rules of the game. 37-6 Cardinals who totally dominated the Jets. An interesting piece of trivia is that Jim Hart...

    Drew Stanton scares me

I hate to say this, but the season is all but over. Losing to Case Keenum, Palmer may be out for a while, and a backup with a QB rating lower than Dave Brown, and this with the inflated ratings of today. It will take 9-3 from here on out to get a sniff at the playoffs. Bruce Arians has done an...

    Cardinals injury update 1-21-16

anyone know the status on Carson Palmer's finger?

    Arians and His Stupid Ego

I agree, they started the drive at 1:50. Subtract 1 play and you have 1:10 or 20, plenty of time for GB to score. In the actual game, there was a sack that lost GB 40 seconds. (1:45 to 1:05). Getting the sack wasn't a given. Even then, Rogers still had time to score. The fact that GB scored a TD...

    Painful Viking moments

I saw that the completed pass was to Kilmer for the 49ers. Did a search and sure enough that was Billy Kilmer, the Washington QB who played in the mid 70s. (I remember the Redskins/Cardinal games when Kilmer and Jim Hart were QB)

    Painful Viking moments

4 Super Bowl losses, including 1969 when they had the most points and given up the fewest during the regular season 1975: Lose Hail Mary game to Dallas. 1987: Lose NFC championship game to Redskins, 4th down pass dropped at goal line to lose the game. 1998: Lose the NFC championship to...

    Official Situations

Id like to play the Redskins, so they and Seattle would have to win. Then we can get our revenge against Scam Newton in the championship game. We'd get to play two new teams, and I'm not that worried about Carolina's offense.

Gameday thread Packers at Cardinals 12-27-15

Luckily, the Carolina Tampa game is an early game and the Cardinal Seahawk is a late game, so the Cardinals can rest their starters if Carolina wins.

    Go Johnny

as soon as I finished typing Seattle tied it:)

    Go Johnny

Browns are up 7-0 over the Seahawks. I had chalked this game up as an automatic win for Seattle. Would be nice if Johnny could clinch the division for us.

    We Won!

Thank god we didn't lose to Blaine Gabbert. As for winning ugly, Im OK with it; there will be difficult games for every team. Just be happy we got the win with Seattle winning. The good teams find ways to win (as Jim Mora once said) when the going gets tough and that's what the Cardinals did...

    Team Offense/Defense rankings

An update here, the Cardinals are now 1st in the league in yards per game, 1st in points per game, and 3rd in defensive yards per game!

New Orleans Saints fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan

LOL, I was just watching that video, once Bono gets to the line of scrimmage, no Cardinal players can be seen from either the side or rear views in the entire viewing area. Amazing.

    Team Offense/Defense rankings

The Cardinals are now 1st in the league in total yards per game, 2nd in points (only 1 point behind the Patriots). 3rd in defense (total yards per game ) behind only Denver and Seattle. While the games haven't been perfect, this Cardinal team has more balance than any I can remember. 39 points...

OT: Titans / Whisenhunt - Fired

Whisenhunt His last 35 games he is 4-31 as head coach! Arians is 27-14. What a great decision that was.

Cards-42 Lions-17: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

And now the whiners lost too, what a day! That makes wins against the Lions 4 straight years and 7 wins in a row dating to 2006.

    Jaws giving us love

Does anyone else remember the 1975 playoff game the Rams beat the Cards 35-23 with Jaworski as QB? One of my earliest games as a Cardinal fan. (I was only 9 but still remember many of the games now)
