Clippers @ Suns Tuesday game thread 2-15- 2022

While many are assuming Aaron H. will replace Elfrid P. as 3rd PG, I suspect Aaron will see time at SG as well, depending on matchups. Elfrid has flaws, but is athletic defensively, rebounds, and passes very well. I remember Reggie Jackson on the Clippers in last year's playoffs as a nightmare...

    Changes for Next Season?

Coach needs to show them pictures of Giannis when he first came into the NBA. Also Michael Jordan. Both took their beatings early in their playoff careers, and figured out they needed to basically live in the gym to get STRONGER. And they did. We barely survived the Lakers, who are also very...

    CP3 vs Rubio

I read somewhere OKC did not want to give us Nader in the trade, but our front office insisted we wanted him. He looks like a guy with a ton of potential...

Suns @ Wizards Monday game thread 1-11-2021

Before Jalen Smith was hurt, he was in the rotation for a couple games. He is a smart player, made some good decisions in his appearances. Without him, Saric is the b/u 4, where he struggles to keep up with more mobile and athletic 4's. Smith is a better matchup, and will only get better with...

Clippers @ Suns Sunday game thread 1-3-2021

If Ibaka misses the pair of 3-point shots he took in the 4th quarter, we win by 1. It was that close...

    Filling the 15th Roster Spot

I'm guessing the Tank will be seeing the court much more. 11 points in 19 minutes, and some smart passes...

Suns @ Kings Sunday game thread 12-27-2020

Chris Paul is actively working with him, so I'll hold off on judging him for a while. If anyone can get him on the same page, it's Paul. Ayton does look like he's thinking more than reacting at this point...

Mavericks @ Suns Wednesday game thread 12-23-2020 (Season Opener)

Chris Paul worked his way to the shot that broke a string of Maverick's baskets near the end of the game. Next time down, he saw Booker open and fed him for another Suns score. Damn nice leadership, and key moments in the game as it looked like the game might be slipping away from us. And, I...

    Filling the 15th Roster Spot

With Saric out for a while, it made sense to bring him back, as he knows the system. And, no doubt a lot cheaper on a new contract.

    B. J. Johnson now a Sun. 6’7” almost 25 yo SF. Per arizonasports.com. Unsure if 2-way contract or not...

    Updated Depth Chart

A 2nd unit of Moore, Galloway, Johnson, Smith, and Saric, mixing in Payne, Carter, and Nader seems like a nice upgrade overall. We might be wise to find another C to replace Baynes though...

    Suns Sign E'twaun Moore

I remember him from his Orlando Magic days 6-8 years ago. He filled in as a starter due to injuries at different times, at both PG and SG. A 6’3” SG who can handle PG duties when needed. Willing to defend. Moore (31), Chris Paul (35) and Jae Crowder (30) are the only players on the roster that...

Welcome Jae Crowder to the Phoenix Suns

We wanted (and needed) defense, which is like 90% hustle and competitiveness, and we got it! If he was “good enough” to start for the Eastern Conference champs last season, he ought to be good enough for us. Of course we had to outbid other bigger-name teams, but it’s the owner’s money, not mine...

Do you like the Chris Paul Trade?

Like it or not, today’s NBA is very much a players-run league, and Paul is well-connected and respected by other NBA players in general. Would he tweak his salary to enable the Suns to pay for one of his buddies to play with him? He just might. Who knows what behind-the-scenes maneuvering this...

    Brandon Knight 2018-19 thread

I only saw him as a Milwaukee Buck under Kidd. Good defender and scorer. If other guys can pass better than him, let them set up the offense, and use him as more of a scorer. Its more about all 5 guys understanding the role Coach wants them to play. Worked for Kidd...

76ers vs Suns SL Game Thread 7/12/18

    Judging the Cardinals offseason....

Hard to judge the "D" so early; switching from a 3-4 front to a 4-3 is a very big change.

Was the Chicago Bears offseason not as good as we thought?

If they can stay healthy, they will be tough to beat. I see great things for Nagy the HC. Their offense should be lights out better, and their D was already tough...

Cardinals left tackle D.J. Humphries expects to be ready for start of season

In this age of exotic blitz packages, the superstar LT is less important than in the past. A quick - twitch offense is the best way to beat the pass rush, which means a smart QB and receivers who can all read a defense. Adding that FB to mix it up will help as well...

    Chase Edmonds

His spin move got him out of a ton of tackles. Doesn't just go down when he's hit.
