    Not uncommon for a new GM to burn it to the ground and then try to build it back up. That was they can say look at me I did it my way and was successful.

    I don't think MB cut him a check for 70 mil. His signing bonus was less than 30 mil. His salary is guaranteed for the next couple of years, but if he holds out he's not getting those game day checks.

    With his pay it won't even have an affect on the cap. He most likely won't be in the top 51, even if he makes the team. He'll get a good look in camp and preseason.

    I had the same thought. If you go after LJ then you have no first rounders for two years and a hefty contract to pay. I loved LJ coming out that year but he plays a risky game. Drafting a QB this year is cost control and you still have all your picks next year.

    Honestly I don't make that trade if I'm Indy until the cards are on the clock. Who knows what could happen between now and then. They guy you're chasing tears his ACL before the draft? Meaning you can get your guy much later.

    Ya except nobody died in those instances. I say let it paly out and then make a decision of if he is worth the gamble. I personally feel as though he will fall out of the top 10 no matter what happens between now and the draft. Two strikes in a couple of months an all.
