Super Bowl LX: (2) Patriots vs. (1) Seahawks

Yes, that’s the listed time; however, with all the pregame hoopla (multiple anthems, ceremonial coin toss, etc.) I’m thinking closer to 4:45 for the actual kick off.

OT: RIP, Sonny Jurgensen, HOF QB

There’s an old NFL Films production that focuses on Vince Lombardi’s nearly forgotten lone season coaching Washington in ‘69. In it, Jurgensen comments that Lombardi was the only coach for whom he played who didn’t dog him for having a gut. Great stuff from the heyday of the Sabols’ and the NFL.

    Your DC preference for Cardinals

Not coincidentally, all three of these organizations are garbage….

    Read up!!!!!!

Was wondering if the board was somehow not aware that that acronym is offensive. Thanks for the guidance on the accepted acronym choice.

Cardinals hiring Nathaniel Hackett as OC

Yeah, we already one of those guys. Well, he's still under contract.

Cardinals hiring Nathaniel Hackett as OC

Agreed. Plus, wasn't he the coach who famously burned tons of clock to attempt a 67-yard FG at the gun (which wasn't good and his team lost)? IIRC, that was his debut game as Denver's HC and I was talking out loud to my TV, saying something like "Has this guy lost his mind?"

Cardinals hiring Nathaniel Hackett as OC

So, as long as he had Aaron Rogers in his prime, Hackett was good. So, all we need is to get a HOFer to be our QB and we'll be killing it on offense. No problem!:sarcasm:

Cardinals hiring Nathaniel Hackett as OC

Hey, this could be the team motto for 2026! ;)

Cardinals hiring Nathaniel Hackett as OC

No, we still need Amos Jones to be (re)hired as our next STs coordinator. Then the circle will be complete!

Mike LaFleur new head coach 2-1-26

He could have also said “Hey, they’re the Jets—nuff said!” :)

Sounds very much to me like KM will not be in the picture.

Watching the presser now—this dude has a personality. What a welcome change from JG.

    Mike LaFleur Press Conference. 2/03/26. 12 p.m.

Couldn’t agree more. So far, I’m far more impressed with MLF than I ever felt with KK or JG.

    Mike LaFleur Press Conference. 2/03/26. 12 p.m.

And please MLF, no “word salad” answers like Monti offered in the presser after JG was fired.

Yeah, everybody knows that the Cards don’t win in State Farm Stadium.

    Who’s our next qb?

The Falcons are going to cut Cousins. Why not take a chance with him?

Mike LaFleur new head coach 2-1-26

Let’s face it, figuring out MHJ is going to be a major focus of his work.

Mike LaFleur new head coach 2-1-26

IDK…worked out pretty well for the previous head coach to be stuck with KM and, errr, never mind.

    Next head coach?

I’m in agreement here. Exhibit A: Mike McCoy was once Peyton Manning’s OC. Exhibit B: Bill O’Brien was once Tom Brady’s OC. Neither of these guys were successful HC’s, yet each has had multiple chances to display their “genius.”

    Next head coach?

    And against a crap team—us!

    Next head coach?

Okay, while I wait for an announcement (and grow old), here’s my list of Why Someone Should Become Our HC: 1) There’s nowhere to go but up 2) Upgraded WiFi + overpriced casitas in the stadium! 3) Empty seats can’t boo 4) Plenty of time to enjoy a vacation or catch up on projects around the...
