    Would not be shocked to see Beck start on injured reserve for 6 weeks. You know, strained elbow. This way there s no pressure to start him. If thing go south he can come off injured reserve. Sit for two weeks then name him the starter game 9.

    I’m content to try and outscore( or at least keep up) with our opponents. ML will surprise teams early until the film catches up. Not 1, 2 or even 3 additional draft picks was going to turn this defense into a juggernaut good enough to stop the 3 teams in our division.

    We’ ll agree to disagree to a certain point. You hope every draft pick can contribute but to wait degree? For instance Beck could contribute this year but you really can’t expect him to excel as much as he should in year two or three. I expect Love to have an immediate impact this year.

    The biggest part of ability is availability. I don’t look at Benson as a very contributing factor even before we drafted Love.

    It played a role. It didn’t stop us from being a top 10 defense but they were player pretty well in the first 4 games when healthy.
