    LOL @ this thread. 99.99% of Cardinals fans would take him in a heartbeat. 1 bad quarter does not make him any worse than the garbage the Cardinals are throwing out there. Kolb is a backup with SOME potential left. Skelton is highly overrated by this board. Project at best at the moment.

    Justin Upton is a huge disappointment!

    Upton is going to need to drop about 20 pounds to move to SS. I kind of like the idea since it solves a few problems and opens up the outfield. On the other hand, I have a suspicion that Upton would be TERRIBLE at SS. From what I recall reading he was never that great in the first place?

    Put Tony Romo on the Ravens and everyone is calling him a top 3 QB. It's too bad he is stuck on the drama filled, mediocre team that is the Dallas Cowboys. Probably his best game ever tonight. Maybe not statistically. But he just destroyed the Giants.

    Not a huge fan of Fetters. He just kinda stumbles along. I like Candiotti though. Shulte was a LOT more tolerable on the radio. For whatever reason he puts me to sleep if I'm actually watching the game.

    I'd lean towards Skelton too. But I'm guessing, as an organization, the Cardinals are leaning towards Kolb simply because of his salary and the fact that Skelton hasn't really done much this preseason.

    Neither has Skelton. It's sad, but in this situation I guess you gotta go with the guy who's getting paid. But probably on a short leash. I'm betting we'll see Kolb out there for at least 2-3 games. If he's miserable, that's probably the final nail in the Kevin Kolb experiment.

    Schulte and Gonzo is one of the most mind-numbingly boring combinations ever. Sure, Sutton and Grace were a little annoying at times. But they were also at least somewhat entertaining. Schulte has a voice for radio and Gonzo puts me to sleep. Such a dull combination.

    Skaggs looked solid. Some control issues, but that is pretty common for younger pitchers. That curve ball is insane and he's got a few other decent pitches. Looking forward to his next start.

    What the hell? This is a move that makes ZERO sense, IMO. He is a perfect backup at 1B and never seemed to complain about playing time. When he did play, he usually played very well on both ends. I don't get it.

    Gonna be strange not hearing Leander and his corny lines. Not a big fan of him, but you get used to an announcer. Steve Albert definitely has an announcers "voice" though.

    I'll be an optimist and say the year after next. I think they've got a pretty decent young core and still have a lot of money to spend the next offseason. (Or they could be a player in a major trade.) I think adding Gordon would have given them a shot at making a little run in the playoffs...

    When I read 9-10 million I assumed something like 30 million over 3 years. (Which would have been insane.) 9-10 million total seems a lot more realistic.
