Byron Murphy. Looks like another Kevin Minter no?

Again, he's a rookie and will get better with experience. I think he's going to be a very solid player for us. Not disappointed at all with him.

    Kyler Murray is a Rookie

Why compare this year's team's last 3 games to last year's team's average for the entire 16 games? The last 3 games have been against very strong defenses...San Francisco, L.A. Rams, and Pittsburg. For the year this year's team was averaging 332 yards per game compared to last year's average...

    Sweezy news...benched or injured?

Mason Cole replaced Sweezy in the second half. Was Sweezy injured or benched?

Being 100% serious, no troll, what do you think of these 3 players atm?

Murray - having a nice rookie year. Firmly believe he will develop into a top 10 QB. Kirk - good #2 receiver. Should continue to get better. Peterson - definitely not a top corner. With his liability as a tackler he may not even be considered an average starting corner.

    Can’t blame the defense

Lots of missed tackles. I counted 4 on the second to last drive with 2 by Marsh, 1 by Walker and that horrendous non-tackle by Peterson where the ballcarrier reversed field for a big gain. Our linebackers are pathetic other than Hicks and Chandler. Suggs, Walker, and Marsh should not be...

    Kyler Murray is a Rookie

I think Harry is spot on with his assessment of Murray. He's a rookie who makes rookie mistakes with the added challenge of trying to overcome deficiencies at the offensive line and wide receiver positions. Murray definitely has to learn to avoid negative plays and hang in the pocket a little...

    Seriously though, fire Joseph

Agree with all of the above except Budda Baker. I think he starts for half of the NFL teams. This still only gives us 6 legitimate defensive starters, which makes us one of the worst defenses in the league. Hopefully Zach Allen and one of the Thompson twins can develop into starters next...

Will Murray be starting QB for 2020 Cardinals?

Jim Murray, Fred McMurray, and Murray the Butcher will not be starting for the Cardinals next year, but Kyler Murray definitely will be. Sheesh this is lame.

    Hassan Reddick to OLB

Good point K9. This is a redo for Reddick's rookie year on the off-chance that he'll do better at OBL this time around. The chances are slim and none.

    Kyler Murray Stats vs. LARM

It's a learning experience for Murray and the team around him. Murray tends to bail out too quickly, as most rookies do, his offensive line doesn't give him the best pocket protection at times, and finally his receivers have trouble getting open. Perfect storm.

    Murray’s Performance

I really liked what Murray said in his post-game interview. He said that he has trust his line a little more, stay in the pocket a little longer and let plays develop. He said that he knows he will get hit a little more, but that's ok. To me, bailing out early was a major problem for Kyler...

    Hassan Reddick to OLB

This move is obviously a last attempt to salvage the Cardinal career of Reddick. He clearly doesn't have the instincts or smarts to play inside linebacker. His hesitancy and false steps prevent him from functioning in the middle. I think it's a long shot that he does anything on the outside...

    Lower Expectations

Agree with Chopper0080 that we're probably two off-seasons away from playoff contention, but it's not out of the question that we get there next year. If we could repeat the success we had in our last draft and free agency we may have a shot. We added two current starters from the draft in...

    Why I’m not too upset

Agree 100% with Cardiac's post. Lots of "glass is half full" positives on this team with lots of "glass is half empty" negatives. Certainly, no one thought this team had a playoff roster. Losing is always disappointing, but we shouldn't be surprised. It's definitely a rebuild and this is...

    21

If someone would give us a 2nd round draft choice for Peterson we should jump on it. With Peterson's PED suspension and recent tape, nobody is giving us a #1.

    KK sucks azz too

Clearly, the 2 minute drill needs work. KK said that Murray spent too much time at the end of the game trying to get into the perfect play. Chalk it up as a learning experience. Both K1 and K2 need to get better at it next year, but I'm not going to sweat it. This year is all about...

    Initial top 100 ~ 2020 draft

We need to upgrade 5 positions...OL, WR, ILB, OlB, and DL. We go after the best available players at any of these positions in free agency and hopefully sign 2 or 3. We go after the remaining unfilled positions in the draft. Sounds easy, but does hard.
  18. Card'em

Are we really going to retool the OL? Draft & FA needs.

I think the Card's roster is not that far away from being playoff worthy. We need significant upgrades in 5 positions and this can possibly be done in one offseason. In no order of priority we need the following upgrades. OLB ILB DL OT WR In free agency I'd look for difference makers at any...

    Fixing the O-line

For the 2017 season the Rams actually added 2 starters to their offensive line. They added Whitworth at left tackle and John Sullivan at center and their offensive line went from suspect to outstanding. The Cardinals could easily do the same. A new right tackle is absolutely needed, and maybe...

Comments by the Whiners on this Board have become Nauseating

I completely agree with PACardsFan. This team was clearly the worst team in football last year, and at or near the bottom in terms of roster talent on both sides of the ball. It's not going to happen over night, so progress is the key. We've already seen progress on the offensive side, now...

    NFLs Red aired step child

Yet we tied the Lions and were very competitive against a strong Ravens team. What does that tell you about the importance of a passing game in today's NFL?

    Winnable Game

I've seen too many "back-up" quarterbacks beat the Cardinals to ever feel comfortable against a back-up. We've made a few of them look like all-pros

    Positive thinking

Maybe We Find the Kurt Warner of LB's Well if we really want to be positive, let's turn to some not too distant football history for inspiration and hope. In 1999 after the St. Louis Rams lost their prize free agent acquisition at QB, Trent Green, to a torn ACL in a pre-season game, they had...

    3rd round Kareem Martin DE

Can you say Matt O'Shaughnessy? I think he's more athletic and has more upside at olb than O'Shaughnessy.
