Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

I haven't seen anyone call us contenders. The most I've seen is it makes us slightly better as a team but we're still a 4-6 seed, or even a play in squad.

Shams: Suns trade for Miles Bridges

Who is over hyping his on court play? I'm not seeing that anywhere.

I like Nelson Jr more than Spencer or Hoiberg. That isn't high praise given the comparison but I agree he's worth a longer look in the G-League.

    2026 Summer League

Dunn regressing from year 1 to 2 helped keep my expectations of Fleming in check. I believe he can be a player still but it'll take time. He was a 2nd round pick for a reason. His potential is incredibly high but he may fail to reach it. I still think he should be a rotation player and I'll be...

News from around the NBA 2025-2026

I don't know how I forgot the new CBA. The fact JJ didn't accept for that in any way should have cost him his job immediately, like once the CBA was announced. He was the Treasurer of the Player's Association before joining this team's front office and walked into the leagues front office once...

News from around the NBA 2025-2026

I'm still salty over Camara. We made 3 boneheaded moves within 4-5 months, starting with the KD deal. Then the Ayton/Camara for Nurkic/Allen/Little/Johnson deal. CP3 for Beal/Goodwin. Of course there were picks included in all but each one of those trades really set a handicap on this team for...

    2026 Summer League

I can see the excuse of not bringing them along at all if it wasn't evident by their play in Summer League, G-League, and limited minutes last year. We've seen it happen, if you looked for it. I trust the front office knows what they're doing. There have been bigs thrown in the deep end that...

News from around the NBA 2025-2026

The Suns have approximately $260 million in salary next season. Even if they let Brooks and Green walk or trade Booker for no return they will still be over the salary cap by about $25 million. The cap is projected to be $174 million. We need to quit thinking of creating cap space as there is...

    2026 Summer League

Fleming has shown why he wasn't thrown in the deep end vs the Thunder in the playoffs. The sky is the limit for that kid but I'd rather they bring him along slowly and stick to whatever plan they have than throw him out there to get embarrassed. I have little doubt he would have been embarrassed...

Front loading Brooks extension is the best bet. It can descend 8% annually, which would free up more as he ages and his production goes down. Plus others will be getting paid so it'll offset their salary some. Hopefully he'll be a team player.

Suns Draft Koa Peat at #30 in 2026 NBA Draft

His salary was set as a 1st round pick. When he signed didn't really matter. I'm glad there was no hold up but really the only point on his part would have been if he wanted to return to college.

    2026 Summer League

I think Peat will be ahead of Dunn on the depth chart by the All-star break. If it takes that long. Fleming needs more seasoning and Maluach needs NBA minutes. I think Maluach could slide into a backup role now but I won't mind them waiting until injury or later in the season.

Jameer Nelson Jr is quick. Looks like a faster version of his dad. Good court vision.

Part of why im sold on Maluach is his mechanics are really good. He just needs the game to slow down. Sky is the limit for him.

    Jalen Green 'Preciation Thread

Depends on the money. I really hope they don't give him a max extension. He's eligible to sign a 4 year $240 million dollar deal in October, the anniversary of his last contract. The first year would be $50.7m with 8% raises, ending at $66m. He's not worth that. If we can retain him somewhere...

Same for role as comparing a starter like Green to an end of the bench guy like a Koby Brea doesn't tell the proper story.

2026 NBA Free Agency and Trades

Because bad teams exist that make dumb trades, see Sacramento, Washington, Chicago, etc. Even in this instance, it's arguable that Bridges is the best player in this deal.

    Jalen Green 'Preciation Thread

They don't list total attempts on BBRef but he ranks #38 in FG% from that draft at 42.2% and 25 in 3pt% at 33.9%. Neither is worth his salary and he'll need to improve a good bit of he wants an extension https://www.basketball-reference.com/draft/NBA_2021.html.

2026 NBA Free Agency and Trades

Why would we get a pick? The deal has been approved for the most part. It will be Charlotte who gets something extra as they're the team giving something up.

Official Dillon the Villain Brooks Thread

I didn't want to further hijack Dunn's thread. He needs to look to pass more. It made some sense why he shot so much early with Jalen out but he seemed to let that go to his head and shot more as the year continued. He shot just 38% from the field post All-Star break and 30% from 3. On the...
