I suspect there's a few of these guys who are not used to playing so many minutes and getting slightly worn down, including Gillespie. Will be good to get Green back soon to give some of these wings a slightly reduced workload for a bit to hopefully get right.
Didn't realize this but this is the start of a 12 game stretch where we only play Eastern Conference teams through the end of Jan.
Coming up:
NYK, WAS, @MIA, @DET, @NYK, @BKN, @PHI, @ATL, MIA, BKN, DET (B2B), CLE
Ooh, that's a tough one. I think I would do it, personally, as a trade like that would certainly balance the guard heavy roster a bit. I don't see Memphis' side of this at all though. If they're trading JJJ I would expect they would want draft assets that Phoenix just doesn't have to make this...
Portis is 2 years younger than O'Neale (30 vs 32) with a similar length of contract remaining. Toppin is younger (27), but not sure either trade is really on the table.
Sheer has all the physical tools to be an impact player, he just needs the reps. On defense he still needs to learn when to push up and when to be more conservative, and on offense he's still rushing his shot. Both should get better with more time on the court.
This is surprising to me. Booker's good with both hands with better than average footwork but his handles and athleticism usually limit him a bit at the rim. In fact, the same could be same of the top 3. Give me 100 guesses and I don't think I'd get Huerter as being in the top 20, nevermine top 3.
Happy that we went 1-1 in this brutal back to back, especially both going down to the wire in crunch time and late travel today. That being said, this was a missed opportunity. Suns let it slip in the 4th with some stagnant offense. Hopefully they can take care of business against the Grizz.
He didn't play in the 4th tonight, and he played on the second night of the last B2B (albeit in a reserve role). I'm hoping he can go tomorrow, Houston has a beast of a frontline.
