    OT: Jags fire Gus Bradley

The Bill Belichick coaching tree has also laid barren fruit.

Someone convince me Palmer should stay at qb next year

After what I've seen this year and the dearth of quarterback draft prospects, a retread / never was with league experience appears to be the best option for next year.

    We Won!

And more good news is that the Cardinals control their own fate. The bad news is they struggled to beat a very bad football team at home.

Cam Newton Blasts Refs After Win

Palmer took a low blow on the play he was hurt a few weeks back with no flag thrown.

    BA challenges and coaching today

All scoring plays are reviewed. The Cardinals just got hosed on the attempted shovel pass that was ruled a fumble. The Olsen non catch should have been challenged. The play the Cardinals did challenge lacked conclusive evidence to alter the call on the field.

Seahawks-6 Cards-6: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

Floyd stopped three drives via penalties and dropped balls. He is too big a liability to be on the field. And I agree that Sherman seems to be able to play with a different rule book. Fitz took a helmet to the head as a defenseless receiver and there was no call.

    Jonathon Cooper being released

Nine out of the top ten picks from the 2013 draft haven't been top ten caliber with Ziggy Ansah being the exception. It's amazing in this era of draft emphasis that so many teams got it wrong.

    AZ 33 SF 21 Thoughts

The opposition knows the Cardinals passing trees so well they might as well be the Cardinals huddle.

Cooper is due a fully guaranteed $2.39 million.

Tony Jefferson hits the nail right on the head

Maybe not. Knowing they have to step it up and play better to make up for his loss could be just what this team needs.

Aaron Murray to Cards PS; Barkley to Bears PS

Barkley, Murray and Dysert (Miami of Ohio) have similar backgrounds - four year starters in college followed by a few years buried on the bench in the pros. Being a four year starter in college may be more of a bane than a boon when it comes time to transition to the pros. Too many ingrained...

    Vikings trade for Sam Bradford

On draft day if you told a team that they are going to get a year or two of average play out of a player they aren't even going to take that guy in the second round.

OT: Romo Appears To Hurt His Back

I know it is hard for most players to walk away from the game, but Romo isn't going to be walking period if he doesn't call it a career. I wouldn't be surprised to hear ten years down the road that he is addicted to pain killers or has a drinking problem.

OT: Andrew Luck Just Got Paid

Statistically (Passer Rating), Luck was the worst quarterback in the league after three games last season. He improved from terrible to bad after getting injured.

OT: Andrew Luck Just Got Paid

Luck was bad last season. Being able to franchise him, the Colts should have taken a wait and see attitude.

    DBacks -V- Braves

1-15 at home so far for the Braves. Feel for their fans. They had to be optimistic when the D'backs came staggering into town just having been swept twice in a row. Instead the reverse happened.

2016 1st round pick is Robert Nkemdiche DT

Watch the game tapes on youtube. He moves like a linebacker at nearly 300 lbs, but needs a seeing eye dog to find the football. Posters are acting like the Cardinals just drafted J.J. Watt, but he looks like the defensive version of Jonathan Cooper to me.

5th Year Option = Bust Label

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/4/15/11439638/nfl-fifth-year-option-nfl-draft-contract-tracker The Indianapolis Colts are the biggest losers. Bjoern Werner was released March 8th.

2016 1st round pick is Robert Nkemdiche DT

BASK places too much value in a player's potential. This guy is the antithesis of Scooby Wright. Off the charts athletic ability, but below average football instincts. Some guys are play makers and some aren't. Nkemdiche falls into the "aren't" category.

Sam Bradford wants out of Philly

Surprised it took this long (after the Eagles moved up in the draft to take his eventually replacement) to demand a trade. The Niners and Browns are the two quarterback needy teams with the cap space to acquire him.

Browns Trade Second Pick To Eagles

The Eagles traded their 2016 2nd round pick as part of the Foles / Bradford swap. So they have: 1st, 3rd and fifth on down. Subsequent year picks make it hard to use the draft value chart. If the Eagles make a playoff run, they can actually come out ahead on chart value on this deal. If...

They need Taylor Lewan to play up to his 11th overall draft pick status. The current state of the college game has made drafting lineman as uncertain as quarterbacks.
