Quick Thought on the NFL Draft

Oliver is nowhere near his listed height and weight.

Quick Thought on the NFL Draft

Caught a little of the Tusla / Houston game. John Randall is a better comp than Aaron Donald for Ed Oliver. Undersized with a motor. He may get labeled as a tweener for the NFL. Too small to play down, too large to stand up.

Week 5- Arizona Cardinals @ SF 49ers Pregame thread, 2018

Teams are salivating at the chance to run the ball against the Cardinals. Seattle came into the Cardinals game with the Pro Football Focus's worst run blocking rating. They were the second worst offensive line in the league, but ran all over the Cardinals.

    Last winless team

Bet the Raiders are wishing they traded Mack to the Cardinals.

Ready for our first legitimate QB of the future in a LONG time

^Good luck with that. Pro Football Focus has the Cardinals inked in as the 32nd ranked offensive line. And that is with Bradford getting rid of the ball in 2.3 seconds. What is going to happen with Rosen holding onto the ball? Sack city here we come. Last year LeCharles Bentley who runs a...

    Fire McCoy?

The Cardinals scored twice by throwing downfield then don't throw past the sticks for the next two quarters. Just awful.

As You Contemplate the 2019 Cap & Draft

Bama left tackle Jonah Williams or LSU linebacker Devin White top my wish list. The only acceptable result for a top five draft choice is a perennial pro bowler. I'd rather have an elite player than multiple guys who are well just guys. The real problem is that Keim and company have an...

    We Lost

de·spair (dĭ-spâr′) intr.v. de·spaired, de·spair·ing, de·spairs 1. To lose all hope: despaired of reaching shore safely. 2. To be overcome by a sense of futility or defeat.

1st overall pick, who do we take?

I like LSU linebacker Devin White.

    Where from here?

The emphasis in preseason has shifted toward not getting your starters hurt rather than preparing for the regular season. The first week of the season is not indicative of the balance of the season. But that first half was absolutely dreadful.

    Khalil Mack on the block?

The Raiders offensive line played at a very high level a couple years ago which is why Carr looked so good and the team made the playoffs. The upcoming move to Vegas is very detrimental. Another lame duck season in Oakland then they are rebooting the franchise in Vegas for 2019. IMHO, being...

    Observations after 3 preseason games

    1. Dropped balls. The Cardinals seem to be collecting receivers with suspect hands. 2. The offensive line they pieced together in the off season stunk the joint up last night. I know it is an inherited problem and will take several years to rectify via the draft, but the NFL is a win now...

Gil Brandt’s greatest receivers of all time. Larry Fitzgerald #7

Don Hutson should be number one. He changed how the game was played. He lead the league in receptions eight out of his eleven seasons. When he retired he was the career leader in all the major categories and held 18 league records.

    Seahawks are toast

"Not medically cleared to play" is a double whammy for the Seahawks. Chancellor won't be filing retirement papers with the league which will allow him to collect his salary for the next two seasons.

    Judging the Cardinals offseason....

Cardinals leading tacklers: 1st Dansby, 2nd Mathieu. Snap counts: 1st Mathieu (99.43 %) Because he wasn't as dynamic a player as he had been previously, people are underestimating Mathieu's value to the team and are neglecting his potential to return to that dynamic player now that he is a...

O-line the strength - and a goal to be NFL's best

It's a pretty resounding NO to the Cardinals having a better offensive line than the Panthers under Ray Brown. Brown coached the Panthers interior triangle (Andrew Norwell, Ryan Kalil and Trai Turner) to All Pro status. Of the current Cardinals only Mike Iupati has achieved that lofty status.

O-line the strength - and a goal to be NFL's best

When Arians took over the assessment was one guard away from having a really good offensive line. The projected line was Levi Brown, Daryn Colledge, Lyle Sendlein, Jonathan Cooper (the final piece lol), and Bobby Massie (replace after OTA's by Eric Winston). They ended the season ranked dead...

    Shaquem Griffin

KJ Wright mans the Will backer spot for the Seahawks. He's a three down player so Shaquem Griffin will be limited to special teams.

OT: Is Hue Jackson trying to get fired?

I don't understand why Jackson was retained. Every team in the league has the talent to win a few games. His team has won one game in two years. Jackson not only wasn't part of the decision making on draft day, but he wasn't even informed who the Browns were going to take with first pick...

    A Tale of Two Drafts

https://www.milehighreport.com/2014/5/13/5713996/how-long-does-the-average-draft-pick-stick-around The first two rounds are where the core players are found. Third round and beyond are players who most likely won't make it though their rookie contract.

    What’s Left

Cobb can't create separation. I felt St. Brown was a late 2nd round / early 3rd guy. But he is looking to go undrafted.

    Round 2 who's left

This draft is so atypical. Usually we see every possible selection for the Cardinals evaporate off the board just prior to the Cardinals selection. But this year not only is a desirable player available but several.

    Round 2 who's left

WTF are the Niner's doing? Keep taking players that don't fill a need. They just moved up for a player that would have been there for them if they waited.
