    Problem is they always seem to want scorers and don't balance their draft picks well. Jackson was probably the most recent exception. That draft they messed up not drafting Sabonis, for sure. Giannis wasn't on anyone's top 10.

    I liked the person, but he didn't bring the intensity you need at the position to anchor the D for the last 2 + seasons. Prolly like was said wanted to be moved earlier and began to mail it in more often. Don't think he was all that important in the development of Ayton, maybe the opposite.

So depending how the FO views that, he'll either get that new deal or be dealt in the off season, imo. He'll want to be compensated to stay through a rebuild, mtl. If he's not even interested...

    Think they just wanted to move on from Chris and Knight in the Anderson deal. Anderson gets first crack, but Bridges will be waiting for his shot. Should get an expanded role in the second half after JJ cracks the starting lineup.

    I'm not down helping the Vikings or Eagles to a SB. But I would'nt say anyone is untouchable at this point. I'd have to be pretty lucrative though and contenders got that way not squandering picks. Don't see it it happening, this year at least.
