Forget the draft...it’s free agency time!

I think he had his own thread but would taking a flyer on Vic Beasley be worth a gamble? The edge rusher market isn't going to be deep so if he can be had on the cheap I say why not. He has 37.5 sacks for his career and show tremendous promise a couple of years ago. Here are the guys I like...

It really has to be OL this draft.

I like OT in Round 1 and Edge Rusher in Round 2. Hoping for some combination of: Wirfs/Thomas/Becton Weaver All 3 of the Top OT's have swing tackle potential, Thomas and Becton played LT predominantly after playing well at RT their freshman years. Wirfs probably solidified himself as the #1 OT...

    2020 Draft

No one where we currently pick will fill our needs. This a project heavy draft with even the Top 3 prospects having question marks. Edwards & Ball can't shoot & Wiseman will not have played a meaningful game of basketball in a year when the NBA season starts. PHX needs a PF and a back up PG...

    2020 Draft

I will continue to hype up Jalen Smith. Gives you everything you need at PF: rebounding, defense and can step out to 3pt range. Best thing is he is very efficient in that he doesn't need to take 20 shots a game to be effective. Main concerns are he needs to be more aggressive and maybe needs to...

Rumor: Cards have made a trade

Local new publications have been running a lot of Trent Williams stories the last couple of days. Gotta go with that one if I was a betting man.

    OT: Quinnen Williams arrested

Arrest aside, this is why I don’t want Derrick Brown at #8. Williams was hyped as best DL to come along in years and he was a major disappointment as a rookie. I don’t see Brown as anything close to a franchise player and kind of underwhelmed at Combine.

    The old Keim Telegraph

Injuries and talent prevent an ideal world in NFL. If Humphries goes down in preseason we roll with Joshua Miles? I think Keim thinks ahead when drafting. He took Humphries when we had Veldheer at LT thinking eventually Humphries would move over. It makes sense to have versatile OL. You hear GMs...

    The old Keim Telegraph

I respect you man, but agree to disagree. You are entitled to your opinion, don't throw shade at ours. We get it, you and others are not on the Thomas train, cool. But Thomas played RT his freshman year at UGA in he SEC so he was tested. Keim quoted what he did, he takes premium positions into...

    The old Keim Telegraph

Keim said on Burns and Gambo last week that he puts a lot of stock in positions with high re-signing price tags when preparing his first round draft board. So you figure that's QB, LT, Pass Rusher & CB. He has his QB so you figure if Okudah is top rated QB, Andrew Thomas is the top LT & Chase...

    Humps contract structure

If Okudah is not there at #8 but Andrew Thomas is, I take Thomas and let him play RT and groom him to play LT if Humphries is gone in 3 years. "Andrew Thomas is not a fit for zone blocking" is what I am sure most of you will reply to this post with but aside from Sweezey in SEA, no other OL on...

Matt Millers Post Super Bowl 7 round mock

Agreed but again all it takes is one team to fall in love and take a guy like Jonathan Cooper #7 overall. Sometimes it’s best to go with a safe pick when your in Top 10 rather than a sexy boom or bust pick.

    Is Kingsbury the Real Deal

Hopefully Kingsbury and Murray have a better Year 2 than Kitchens and Mayfield after their potential was hyped up.

Matt Millers Post Super Bowl 7 round mock

You can teach / clean up technique but you can't teach his size, strength or feet. I don't think he is better than Andrew Thomas but all it takes is one team to fall in love.

    Ahmed Extended

Last item on Hazen's offseason to do list. Dude doesn't blow smoke, he just gets things done. Keim better take notes because this could his last offseason if he blows it.

TMZ: Budda Baker says the Cardinals would love to have Antonio Brown

I’m sure Baker meant they would love to have a productive, trouble free AB on the team but that AB no longer exists.

    The Suns next big move

Ayton would have to stay on perimeter which negates his strengths. But it’s hard to get a read on what Jones plans to do,

    The Suns next big move

I think PHX needs to target Randle this offseason and roll with a core or Ayton, Randle & Booker. Not sure what it would take (Oubre or Bridges) to get him but we need to address the PF position this offseason. Were not going to find a unicorn (stretch PF who can defend and rebound) so might as...

NBA Trade Deadline news and rumors 2019-20 season

We want Ayton (or a lot of fans do) to be an aggressive and dominant big man who puts up KAT type numbers. Until Ayton can add a 3pt game to his repertoire then we have a throw back C. I will give Ayton credit in that he has a nice mid range jumper he just needs more range and aggressiveness to...

NBA Trade Deadline news and rumors 2019-20 season

C’s like Capela are a dying breed. He’s a lob target, defender & rebounded but most teams including HOU are looking for guys who can shoot. They had to give up an asset to get off of Capela’s contract and to get Covington who is a better fit and it frees up money so they could go after another...

Coaching Shake up... OC Likens out

Herm should take pro model to next level and bring in Eric Allen to coach DBs and Darren Woodson to coach LBs. Kids and parents would be in awe having these guys in their homes on recruiting visits.

    Just A Reminder

Well Brady had the benefit of having a surveillance guru as a coach who hired great offensive coaches.

    Just A Reminder

Plus their HC’s are offensive gurus, Shanahan went way from what got his team to SB (running the ball) but he is young enough to learn from his mistake. On the topic of TE, if ARZ gets a pass catching TE I would assume KK would split him out away from OT or line him up in slot so he functions...

    Lance Zierlein First Mock Draft

How did you formulate that opinion? I am warming up to Becton if he's there in Round 2, I'd take him. I could see the validity in this argument, however I think it will be an easy adjustment to the air raid as the routes are shorter and there aren't a lot of seven step drops so ball should be...
  25. overseascardfan

    Help! Harry.

Probably because UGA is a traditional pro style offense and not a fast paced air raid style. But it will take any OT time to adjust to such a system unless you are drafting a kid from Texas Tech, Washington State or another Air Raid school.
