    Exactly. In fact, I would say there's no way in hell they get much past the 30 win mark unless Maluach, Fleming, Brea, or some other newcomer not named Jalen Green has a surprisingly huge immediate impact. In other words, no one should be holding their breath.

    I recall hearing the same rumors about him. One has to wonder if there really is fire behind all that smoke. It's always possible he could get help if he does have a real problem and fix the impact it's having on his career. But the Mavs' abrupt and mysterious dumping of him makes you wonder.

    I don't think the Lakers ever really care too much if they blow a draft pick. The mystique of their home market and the actions of the league itself always ensures they will never be more than a year (or two, at worst) from being relevant.
