Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

We needed to get under the apron, I would’ve preferred to get there by trading away either Allen or O’Neile, but it seems our scheme to deliberately overpay them both in order to somehow make them more of an asset worked about as well in in practice, as most of our other schemes has.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I missed this story… When we hired Ott I know several of us joked that it must’ve been only because Cleves wasn’t available.

Booker agrees to 2 year 145 million dollar contract extension

Fair, for sure Brunson has achieved things in a couple years that Johnson never sniffed, but it’s more about that just Dallas didn’t appreciate him and created awkwardness by massively undervaluing him. Similar to us with Johnson. While Nash on the other hand, I think Dallas didn’t keep because...

Booker agrees to 2 year 145 million dollar contract extension

Bridges signed with us on a deal that everyone knew was a sweetheart of a deal for the Suns… and the Ishbia Suns went right ahead and used that team friendly contract as a trade chip, shipping him out of town to a place he didn’t want to go. This isn’t unique to the Suns, but unless a player...

Booker agrees to 2 year 145 million dollar contract extension

I need to update it, it’s from a decade ago, Kevin Kolb as a headless chicken. Given that the dude probably has CTE, it’s not in the best taste.

Booker agrees to 2 year 145 million dollar contract extension

We’re not gonna matter for another 6 to 8 years anyway, Booker’s contract will have zero impact on our ability going forward. If anything it shows that we’re loyal it also allows us to have leverage for trading him if he actually lives up to the contract because he’s locked in for a long time...

James Jones Leaves Suns for NBA Front Office Job

I think we still get Durant at deadline but for less. Minus some picks or minus Mikal. He was never going to play for them again and our offer even without Mikal was way better than any of the rumored offers at the time. Ishbia caved.

James Jones Leaves Suns for NBA Front Office Job

That was his major screw up. Then they draft Smith as a project and give up on him after one year… while also dumping the contract option making him worthless in a trade. Although, the contact option decline part might have been Sarver penny pinching.

James Jones Leaves Suns for NBA Front Office Job

I'd say its... 99.9% Ishbia. It seems pretty clear from everything that came out that Jones was offering Bridges and Johnson OR picks, not both, Ishbia entered and totally capitulated.

James Jones Leaves Suns for NBA Front Office Job

Yep, if Jones wanted to make that trade he could have done it the previous summer. Ishbia forced it.

    Bradley Beal Departure Thread

The only motivation Beal has for accepting a buyout to help the Suns is that he can pick a new team and get a decent contract from them. If we hold onto him entering the season, we’re going to be stuck with him for another full year.

Suns draft Khaman Maluach with the 10th pick

He’s already plenty big, guys bigger than him tend to fall apart. I’m fine if he’s done growing. One of the reasons I’m not terrified of Wembanyama is that I just don’t see him holding up. The talent is there but the human body isn’t meant for those proportions.

The 2025 NBA Off Season (includes free agency)

We’ve made some monumentally bad moves, and while I’ve opposed them, there at least was a “plan” that hypothetically could have worked in a best case scenario. The kings meanwhile… “hey, DeRozan miiiiight have been a mistake… but what if we bring in LaVine! They failed together in Chicago but...

The 2025 NBA Off Season (includes free agency)

Going from Fox and Haliburton and Buddy Hield to Schroder, LaVine and DeRozan is some unreal incompetence. Much older, infinitely worse and still extremely expensive.

The Kings are so impossibly poorly ran.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

Well, you don’t know you’re going to hate it when you buy them. The previous few years had been really fun in 22. I only saw one loss in person and it was right at the end of the year when we were resting people. They even won all the playoff games I went to… too bad I didn’t have game seven.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I had season tickets... well, I still do but I lowered my amount by half. It was a slog.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I just hope watching them doesn’t make me wanna jump off a bridge. These last couple years have been a very joyless and boring brand of basketball.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

Guys have developed a shot over the course of their career... however... that is one ugly shooting form. It's is about as bad as I've ever seen.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

Because we gutted the franchise trading for Durant. Booker can't do much about his front office making a monumentally terrible trade.

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

I’m not doubting that the jazz are partial to white players, but I also don’t think that he will impact their season ticket sales in any meaningful way whatsoever, especially not in a way that offsets his stupid salary that we paid him. He’s just a guy, an especially useless guy to a team with...

Would you go to a Suns game because we got TJ Warren back?

Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

Competitively, I think this trade makes us worse, because I don't like Collins, but I also think Grayson and Royce are on bad, longer contracts, so I dig that part because next year is probably a disaster regardless. That said... ain't no one buying an NBA ticket because Grayson Allen or Royce...

Devin Booker is the greatest player EVER in Suns history

Fair, but I do think he got an egregious amount of support, those teams were loaded inspite of him. I know a lot of Laker fans who lament that Kobe couldn't get help after 2011, but he couldn't get help because no one wanted to play with him, even he and Pau (while they later became good...

    The Collin Gillespie Bandwagon Thread

I really don't get the CP3 pushback... he'd be here on a minimum contract, he was still a good player last year, we don't have anything that resembles an NBA caliber starting point guard. I see zero reason to not sign him. He wouldn't be blocking anyone from playing time.
