Jeff, I would LOVE to see such insightful reporting on the Cards, but I don't think they want to "introduce" the team nationally for one nor do I think they have that much respect for their audience's knowledge or intelligence.

My father took me to see Stan's last game when I was 11. I "knew", but didn't fully understand the importance of the occasion.
At that time, he held 17 MLB records and went on to be a first ballot HOF'er.
And he was a better man and person.

Does anybody remember Willis Crenshaw? I remember one game where he went off for mucho yards and several touchdowns where the Cards blew out another team (which wasn't real common in that era).

I mostly lurk (in reality, I don't have the time to put into this that many seem to have so I read and LEARN here), but . . .
I've been a fan since the Cards moved to StL in 1960, so this is my 53rd year coming up.

Not really sure it was the BEST, but one so long ago I only heard it on the radio as a kid: Pat Fischer stripped the ball from the receiver and returned it for a TD against the Steelers.
This was when the Steelers were a laughingstock franchise, pre-merger days.

I'm not crazy about it either, but he did post a video explaining it.

I grew up in StL (Kirkwood) and was 8 when the Cards moved from Chicago. Although I live in West Virginia, it’s so far east it’s part of the DC metro area. Here there are lots of Steeler fans. There were more Redskins fans when they were good. Lots of Dallas fans too. Card fans? Few and...
Thanks from me too! I really don't have the time to do much more than read the posts, but I'm able to learn LOTS!
Thanks again to all who help that.
