    No mystery why teams were not rushing to sign Arroyo Basically he was looking for a Career ending insurance contract in recognition of his longevity and service in baseball. Only Towers was dumb enough to give it to him. Towers shouldn't be fired, he should be prosecuted for malfeasance of duties.

    Kennedy Redux Why would we need to spend a boat load of money on Hughes? We already have one awful contract with McCarthy. That's enough. Too many good young pitchers in our organization. Just say NO to Hughes. Rather spend big money on a big basher if one is available.
