Agree. If Greg Dortsch is our leader in targets and receptions, it’s going to be a very long year.

    Good to see you.

This certainly isn’t the Kyler we’re used to….

Agree could have easily been called. I think the fact that Murray just heaved it in the air like a Hail Mary pass had an effect on the call. Refs very rarely call PI on those type plays. If the pass had more zip and authority on it, I think the ref calls that PI.

Wk 2 LA Rams @ Arizona Cardinals Pre Game thread. 09/08/24-09/14/24

I think this game is a toss up. There’s no Donald to account for and the OL, sans Beachum, looked pretty good. Weather won’t be a factor and hopefully Petzing calls a better game after the defense makes adjustments.

Look at that 1st screenshot again. The CB may be behind him but he’s already squatting while Marvin is in full go mode. Every legit NFL Wr is open at that point and going to beat that CB.

You look at that first screenshot with Dortch filling the void by the blitzer. Marvin has his man beat right there. The DB is curling in(thinking he has help deep) and Marvin is going deep. Murray was looking at the blitzer and not down the field. Otherwise, he makes that deep throw. Point...

Agree. Anyone who thinks Murray is a better passer of the football than Palmer should probably stick to watching rugby.

Yes, that's the play. I agree totally different situation but my point was about the QB seeing the field and making the throw.

There's a difference between throwing your QB under the bus and holding him accountable. You think Arians would have glossed over the missed opportunity? He was calling out things Brady missed or should have done differently in Tampa. He wouldn't have whacked Murray and said what an F up that...

and that's a problem. I was watching red zone after the Cards game and a very similar play occurred withe Baker Mayfield and a rookie(I think) WR. The WR was obviously not the #1 option but Baker saw it opening up. Result, perfect pass, TD. Veteran QB's usually can see the field pretty well...

I misread your post and got it confused with another. Yes. They need to rectify it. Hope it’s not like the Falcons when they didn’t use Bijan other than a decoy.

NFC championship game too. But those are easy to get to. I’m sure the whole NFC was inferior. Good argument.

Total BS thread. There wre 2-3 plays they showed that he’s wide open and the QB didn’t throw it to him. How many more did we miss? Josh Allen threw it to his rookie when covered and the guy made a play. Our QB didn’t give him the chance. He’s wide open for the potential game winner. Yep...

A lot of games and a division title.

The defense stinks. I think everyone knows that. The frustration comes from having the chance to win and your franchise QB failing in crunch time. I don’t think many even have the Cardinals as a playoff team. But you have to make the plays to win when they are there. And it was clearly there.

That’s just bad QB play then. And flat out pretty stupid. A guy drops his pass in the NFL and you’re not going to look his way when he’s your best receiver? That makes no sense.

He also accounted for 4 TDs and won the game.

I have a fair question. Has anyone thought Kyler has been “cool in the pocket” with the rush around him? To me, it’s always been kind of chaotic when there is the first sign of pressure when he’s in the pocket.

He’s a 6 year vet in the league. He should absolutely be seeing the field. You act like he’s a Caleb Williams rookie out there. If this was his rookie season, nobody would be on him. It’s his 6th year. He shouldn’t be watching the rush, which he obviously does.

Cardinals at Bills gameday thread 9-8-24

It nit easy But is it too much to ask a 6th year QB who was the 1st overall pick in the draft to be held to a very low bar to see that?

That’s beyond bad. But, according to some, that’s only 1/2 second open and easily missed. Lol.

A NFL Qb should see that. It’s not high school college. That’s wide open in the NFL.
