The Expendables 4: Lionsgate announces cast and confirms production date

Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are back in their roles as Lee Christmas, Gunner Jensen, Toll Road, and Barney Ross, respectively. The newest members of the team include Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, and Tony Jaa, whose roles in the sequel have yet to be announced.

The film is slated to begin production this Fall for a 2022 release.

The problem with the 3rd is they scaled back the action to try and appeal to a broader audience with the PG-13 rating. The whole appeal of the franchise was seeing an over the top 80's style action flick done in modern times with modern stunt work and special fx.

I'll give this a look when it comes out but I don't have high hopes. I'm already disappointed Terry Crews isnt listed as part of the returning cast. He was one of my favorites from the first 2 films He sat out almost the entire 3rd film, which didn't help things. I did like Antonio Banderas character from the 3rd and would like to see him return also.

Hopefully they go for a hard R rating and get back to what worked originally.

It'll be on Starz soon. Can't recall when but they've been airing the first 3 and running ads for the 4th saying "Catch it in Theaters now before it's on Starz in ??/??" but I can't recall the date. Starz had a deal for 99 cents a month for 3 months through Hulu. I dig it on there because you get like 15 live movie channels with the sub even without the live TV plan.

Starz is owned by Lionsgate, who produced the film. They get all Lionsgate films first.

This is my movie priority right now:

Real spectacle that must be seen in the theater
Kids movie with the family
Established franchise where I want no spoilers

The next movie I will see in the theaters is the Marvels

Honestly, I don't have many movie priorities any longer. The last one I saw in the theater, I think, was No Hard Feelings.

I'm down to Star Wars movies and that's about it. Used to include Marvel, but not since Endgame.

Surprised you won’t go see Killers Of The Flower Moon in theaters. Is that because of its length?

I could never miss a Scorsese movie in theaters.

Edit: oops, thought this was a Chap post. Nevermind!

Def interested in what you think of The Creator. Early word was praising it to high Heaven, but once reviews actually dropped, word looks a little more mixed that is very much sizzle but not as much steak.

John David Washington's project track record has been stellar, that is the main reason why I have high hopes for it. I know you didn't like Tenet, but the reasons for that are a lot different than not like the more popcorn sci-fi that generally has no substance. Tenet just had too much, but it wasn't the fault of the acting IMO.

I actually thought he was the weak link in Tenet.

The what? I have no idea what that movie is.

I haven't seen a Scorsese movie I enjoyed in quite some time. The Departed I especially loathe.

Really? Did you see Silence, Wolf of Wall Street, Hugo or The Irishman?
Silence put me to sleep. I liked Hugo. And loved Wolf and The Irishman.

Killers has been my most looked forward to movie for a couple years, now. Almost impossible for me to temper expectations with Scorsese directing Leo, DeNiro and Plemons in a period piece epic crime movie.

Silence no. Wolf of Wallstreet was okay.

Hugo I honestly had no idea that was Scorcese. I did enjoy that one.

The Irishman we have started I think 3 times and it is just too slow.
