Some good scenes last night but still not without its slew ridiculous, logic defying moments.

That said, the series finale is next week. So, where's the poll on whether or not Jack lives or dies?

It's 24! When has that show ever NOT had ridiculous, logic-defying moments?

This season started out horribly, but has since become one of the best seasons ever.

I guess part of my problem with the logic is how easily they allowed the president to be manipulated. They built her up over the last two seasons as being completely honorable and tough yet within an hour she's taking the advice of an ex-president who shouldn't be allowed outside of a prison cell and selling out Jack..but you are correct, defying logic isn't exactly a new theme with 24.

That being said, since Jack doesn't seem to care anymore about living with Kim and watching his grand daughter grow up (Which was all he cared less than 22 hours ago) I'm thinking he's going down...but then, I could also see a 24 movie at some point, in which case killing off Jack would not be the best idea ever.

What do you think? Is Jack still standing after next weeks finale?

Nope, I think Jack gets gunned down...but not until Cole discovers that Jack was working for the Chinese the whole time, and that he was trying to ruin everything for the US, and the Russians.

Just my opinion.

After everything he did and probably will do, i'm not sure he can make it out alive, and for sure not in good standing with anyone who can spare his life.

Yup I'm going to miss it a lot. Mary Lynn Rajskup as "Chloe" and Annie Wersching as "Renee" are two of the finest actresses on TV. Loved rooting for them.

Spoiler:

Chloe shot Jack, what? But Jack pulled a Jack and recovered from being shot in the chest after like 10 minutes.

Ditto!! That was a good finale. I like Chloe's last words; Shut it Down

Great, great finale. Arguably better than Lost, but I'm not confident enough to say that outright.

Setting up for the movie VERY nicely.

The show was garbage for the first 10-12 episodes, but then it really picked up and IMO became one of the best seasons the show has had.

So if they make a move set after what happened on the show, there's still some stories to continue for sure. Do you think the will keep it going, or do some new plot?

The movie will take place in Europe, presumably where Jack is headed.

I was disappointed with this show over the last several seasons, but for all its flaws I still kept watching. The last 30 min of the finale was very good, and they ended the show in a proper fashion. I see some potential for the future films, so long as they don't keep repeating the same formula.

I've got the same sentiments Griffin. Even with my gripes though, the good parts more than made up for the issues I had. Glad I stuck with it to the end. Perfect final line by Chloe.

Worth watching if you enjoy the show.

It is available streaming on Netflix. (as is the rest of the show)
