When your whole defense is based on the magic word 'potential' removed from the safety position, you know they are going to suck rocks

Why is anyone surprised Kennard was cut?

Vance barely used him when he was earning 8m per. He's going to be more likely to use him because he took a huge pay cut?

Golden, Gardeck, Sanders and Thomas were all locks and Dimukeje is the only one actually played well in pre season.

Dimukeje won the spot Kennard was pencilled in to take back.
I'm excited to see what he can do after the glimpses we saw in the preseason.

It would be Cardinalesque for the team to use two third rounders on a position when they already had a guy on the roster.

He had one good Q4 vs bums. He doubt he get's claimed and will go to the PS.
He has shown at least that he knows the position and has instincts for the position. Then you have the force feed of Collins 'the great athlete' who appears totally lost and then being entertained to wear the green dot lol

"Totally lost" because he had one play in game 1 where he looked confused as to where he should line up. Which we don't know was his fault because he was playing with newbs and depth guys that may have lined up where he was supposed to be.

This is the problem with fan evaluations. Wooten has a couple of splash plays vs scrubs and he's now better than Zaven because we saw one play he looked confused.

Reminder, your evaluation is a fan evaluation too :)

Of course it is.

But I'm not the one making over the top assessments of both Wooten and Collins based on a handful of preseason plays.

32 teams passed Wooten 259 times and the best UDFA offer he had was the Cards. I doubt anyone is claiming a linebacker that runs 4.82 at 224lbs to the 53 because he had a decent 29 snaps in game 2 of preseason. He missed an easy tackle in the backfield in game 3 but that doesn't get talked about nearly as much.

PS is where he belongs.

Ben Niemann makes far more sense with 1500 defensive snaps and 1062 ST snaps for the Chiefs over the past 4 years and a SB ring.

Vigil had a 42PFF, some may think the pff rating are not so accurate to judge a player, but 42 is atrocious, Vikings fans were extremely happy to let him go
The middle is settled with scrubs from other teams

Weird considering he's never played for the Vikings.

Niemann will be the 4th backer on the roster if he makes it and much better than Joe Walker.
