1985 was one of the more miserable seasons in Cardinals history. After a promising 84 season, many predicted the Cardinals to win the NFC East in 85. Instead the OL was horrific, Lomax was sacked over 50 times & the D took a major step backwards. Bidwill was so pissed that he had the locks changed the day after the season ending game. Hanifan realized he was fired the next morning when he couldn't get into the facility. Part of the reason why we could never hire a great coach. No one wanted to work for Billy B.
