Or after drafting two in our last 2 drafts, is LB not an issue for us in the coming off season?

If Chandler Jones is gone you definitely need another pass rusher. Golden is good but without another competent pass rusher he will face more double teams next year. Technically, Hicks is under contract next year so he along with Simmons and Collins should be sufficient enough to hold down ILB spots.

It may not matter due to the holes that will need to be filled in 2022 because of free agency. RB, TE (every TE on the team is a UFA in 2022), WR, back up QB, and depth at S and CB will all be in need come 2022. What the draft looks like will be determined largely by how free agency works out.

Hmmm.. QB hunter is so critical. We cannot draft a rookie and hope that, in their rookie year, they capably replace a departing EDGE rusher. That's a recipe for disaster.

One approach would be to make sure we hang on to both CJ and Golden for 2022, and use some draft capital on the EDGE position. Maybe also sign a young mid-level FA that has potential (like a Reddick), and then hope that one of them can capably replace either CJ or Golden for 2023.

I disagree. We can't do that with VJ because of the defense he runs. Teams and fan bases these days could and should expect any player drafted at any position in the first round to step in as a rookie. That is the reality of the NFL, 1st round picks doing it from day 1. We're an AWFUL developmental team that drafts 1st rounders that often get 1 or, even worse, 2 redshirt years before contributing.

Decent draft for Edge Rushers. I think Jones leaves. Some hope from free agency. So many needs and drafting late.
