I’m pretty bummed. I listen to the radio all day and enjoy Bickley and Marotta. With them in the morning I will only get to here their last hour. I like Luke as a fill in guy but not sure if he and Wolfe can put together a show that I will enjoy on a daily basis. I found Doug and Wolfe to be virtually unlistenable.
completely agree.

And it's because both Doug and Wolfley are terrible. It was the worst.

Radio is so early 20th century. There is a thing called television most people use now in place of radio. Not only can you hear what people are saying, you can see at the same time what they are talking about. Wonderful invention for the modern 21st century age.

And don't forget about that coming new fangled thing they call the internet. That just might be a big thing in the near future.

I am still hoping for the day when everyone has built in retractable rabbit-ears sticking out of their heads so they can watch and hear everything anytime they want through their normal glasses. Can you say '24 hour porn'? Yea, baby!
Lots of people have no ability to watch TV or browse sports websites in the office. Radio's often the only thing allowed.

Infront of the TV - cursing this team.
Wolfley and Pauly Pencil neck were a great pairing. Always ripping' each other. Wolfley's smoking, moo cow size and Pauly's midget, balding sissified role in life...those were the good ole days. Neither one of them would listen to the other. They would simultaneously go off on two different hilarious rants. It was Great radio!
Mark Ashley got sideways with Gambo and gone . . . He (Mark) was smart and funny - and lethal with his acrid jabs. Chuck Powell was the other witty and entertaining personality that flamed out here. We've endured Doug . . (just ******** me) . . Dave Burns . . nice man but Zzzzzz on the buzz meter.
Radio for the commute - it's all I got . . hour drive each way. Maybe I should get a vehicle with Bose speakers and crank the tunes . . .

Jody Oehler now has no chance against Bickley and Marriage if ever though he had a chance against Doug and Wolf.

Not a huge Jody fan but I recognize he’s the most talented on air host in the valley. He just can’t compete with the flagship which Bickley learned early.

Everyone is so afraid to be edgy these days that most shows have gotten so generic and boring. You can’t really criticize players anymore and nobody listens to get information because you can get it on social media.

Also the big fad has gone the way of morning network shows like First Take and Undisputed which is a hot take extravaganza that gets tons of traffic. 10+ years ago the only tv shows I remember where shows like PTI and before that The Sports Reporters. Everything how is an overreaction echo chamber. ESPN has gone down the tubes hard.

Bottom line for me is that I like the 3 sports shows on 98.7 FM. Yeah, you can argue the pros and cons on each the broadcasters. Hate them or love them but what I really enjoy is the local coverage of our teams. I'm a "homer"and feel that they do a good job of covering them.

I liked the old Gambo and Ash show. Mark Asher tried to keep Gambo in check and it cost him his job.

Chuck Powell was pretty good, too.

Burns would repeat himself over and over again. I would listen to him say the same thing 3 times in a row. He’s quite redundant.

Doug came off WAY too arrogant for me. And his commercials for local businesses were comically bad - pouring on the false sincerity SO thick that it was laughable.

Thank you for giving my Bob Kemp post a bump. I used to listen to him when he was on Sports Entertainment Network days in the early 90s. He always said what he felt about Arizona sports. I remember his Cameron Spikes criticism. A true savant

At least most AZ fans have local coverage of our favorite team. All we NJ Cardinal fans get is the hope that they'll mention the Cardinals name a couple of times on SIRIUS or NFLN.

I remember getting so mad when Kemp would criticize the Cardinals but he was usually right.

That's still better than down here in Canada. Media didn't even know Cardinals existed as football team until OT win against Seahawks.

For those concerned about access and showtimes, especially the early morning schedule, AZSports has an app that lets you stream the aired shows. They call them podcasts to stay with the times.

Worth noting that Wolfley was on this morning but Doug was not.

Doug stepped into it with someone for sure. He isn't going to even get a chance to say goodbye after this long run

Is there a point to being a crappy person in this thread?

Yes Sissy, everyone knows there is TV except when you are driving to work. Thank you for your contribution to the thread.
Yes Drop D, everyone knows there are podcasts. Some people prefer live radio in their car. Thank you for your contribution to the thread.

Well I listen to all 3 podcasts at work every night with my Bose QC wireless ear buds. I take the good & the bad with each show. Living in Louisville, Ky I don't get any Arizona Cardinals talk. So it's 98.7, this board & my Sunday ticket package with Directv for the games. I'll listen to whoever 98.7 puts on each show & roll with it for the Cardinals talk.

Luke is a fill in host at best. That midday show is going to be bad.

I know people don’t like Bickley but their show is the best one of the lineup so moving them to the morning makes sense for ratings i suppose. They should’ve paid up for someone better to pair with Wolf.

I actually like Luke, but I don’t think that Wolf is a good pairing for him.

was there ever a reason given as to why the show was actually canceled? they were a bit of a staple in the valley, whether you liked the show or not.
