Sorry to hear that Shawn Bradley was hit by a car while riding his bike a couple months ago and has been paralyzed as a result. The article I read on CBSSports didn't say whether he was a para or a quad but that's an incredibly tough situation regardless, and it's likely made even more challenging for someone of his height.

I'm hoping Bradley can recover. It's very tragic.

I think last week PJ Tucker complained about wanting out of Houston. He's come a long way to have a say on where he wants his career to go, i this case it was out of Houston and to a playoff/contending team. And yesterday, i believe, he got his wish granted.

Good for him, i appreciated his hard work while he was with the suns in our lack luster years. I guess he wasn't one of the players that looked good while being on a crappy team, although he never put up monster stats he was always working hard on defense and seemed to be a team player.

It's good to see Ty Jerome adapting to the NBA game. I always thought he had the basketball IQ.

Problems is he can't guard anyone.

There are a few of those around. He might be able to improve as a position defender.

Jerome is definitely limited athletically.

If he makes it in the NBA, his ceiling is a backup point guard.

LaVar Ball insists that the Pelicans have to trade Lonzo: 'He can't stay in New Orleans'

https://sports.yahoo.com/lavar-ball...s-pelicans-trade-lonzo-lamello-232220900.html

LaVar, speaking on ESPN LA 710 on Thursday, wants the New Orleans Pelicans to trade Lonzo.

Fast.

“No! No, he can’t stay in New Orleans,” Ball screamed when asked if Lonzo should stay with the Pelicans. “Come on, man. Come on, listen … Lonzo’s always been a playmaker. Why are you trying to change him into a defensive specialist that stays in the corner and shoots 3s? And you’re trying to change Zion and Brandon Ingram who all through their careers have never been playmakers. They’re scorers! Now you want to put the ball in their hands and be playmakers? … Go score the ball and do what you do and guess what? They’re gonna have a hard time trying to win every game if the playmaker ain’t making the right plays.”

--------------------

I don't care how great they are on the court - I wouldn't want any of this guy's kids on my team. Once was enough. Big Daddy is still spouting off. Too involved. Too vocal. Too much of a helicopter dad always hovering around and making noise. Meh.

Still don't know why Indiana fired Nate. They've struggled this year and he's proven himself in Atlanta. I guess you can say they choked in the playoffs last year but it wasn't your normal postseason and they were trying to reintegrate Oladipo into things.

He's making a case for coach of the year now and is probably Monty's biggest competition.

I got some thoughts on why...

NBA makes it clear. Don't throw your face mask. This might be NBA first.

Teams pull the trigger on coaches way too soon. Its one thing when the coach just never gets on track, and they need to make a change, but when a coach has been good for a sustained period of time, patience should reign.

This Suns team will regress horribly the moment that they fire Monty. The goal should be continuity now. He should have a lengthy career here like Pop in San Antonio. We are just not going to go out and get someone better.

Yup. He's helped turn things around there. I think theyre 5th in the East now also.

I know the Pacers were swept in the playoffs by Miami last year in the bubble playoffs but they didn't have Sabonis or Jeremy Lamb, who filled in well for Oladipo all year, and had a hobbled Oladipo. Miami were beasts in the east playoffs last season. Getting swept sucks, sure, but they never had a losing record with Nate as their coach and he never had a healthy team in the postseason. Its one thing to miss some rotation players but they always seemed to be missing their top player or their second best player.

Nate’s success has happened to coincide with the Hawks getting a lot of their key players back, too.

True. And this move was probably a foregone conclusion for awhile now, the front office probably timed this move to help the team gain momentum and confidence.
