Well, I would not have done this, unless the plan is to immediately trade him for Watson or Wilson.

Agreed. Regardless if it works out for the team and a super bowl, it is nice to see people get rewarded for working their butts off. Also nice when the players aren't complete d-bags.

I completely agree. But let’s not act like Dak didn’t have generational wealth prior to this contract. It’s reported he makes 50 million per year prior to this contract just from endorsements. On top of his 31 million he made last year.... THAT is already generational type wealth.

Not saying he didn’t deserve his contract either....

Cowboys over-payed, hasn't shown the ability to carry the Cowboys consistently to the playoffs without top 10 defense.

He will get the #s because he has Cooper, Gallop and Lamb. Imagine what that would look like.

Every play is "open" for Dak in that offensive.

Some people think Kyler won't get 45mm per in 3 years. The top of the market may be around 50mm by then.

If he’s making that then he’s the guy we hope he is.... if he’s not that’s gonna be a problem.

Highly doubt he makes that from endorsements but if you’re a QB that gets franchised you’re netting 20+ mil after taxes. Had he been franchised again then he’d have generational wealth (assuming he’s as smart as he seems).

list of his current deals and value....

“From AT&T to Adidas, Oikos, Beats by Dre to Campbell's Chunky Soup and Direct TV, Prescott has inked 11 endorsement deals in his young career, and all of them pay him handsomely for his support.”

How badly Dalton and all the other backups performed after Dak went down made me think the cowboys should pay him. You saw how lost that offense looked against us on MNF.

Good for him. Remember Dak wasn’t some top 5 blue chip pick. He’s worked his butt off.

Apparently Dak is now overpaid when he was on track for 6200 passing yards, 32 passing TD's and 10 rushing TD's behind an O line that was absolute trash all year due to injuries.

The dumbest thing about this is that the Cowboys could have likely signed him last offseason for $34-35m when they knew Watson and Mahomes had extensions coming up. They let the market get reset before pulling the trigger.

Empty calories.

Dallas has to figure out why they keep getting blown out early in games. it's been a problem for the past year and 1/2

This tells me that Kyler is going to get a lot of money when it is time for the Cards to resign him. Keim needs to take advantage of his rookie contract now for sure and build around him.
