I don't know about the laws in Florida but in a lot of states if there is evidence of domestic abuse, from either partner, you go to jail automatically.
Of cource that only applies to normal folk, not the insanely rich.

State of Florida laws concerning domestic violence, assault and battery, attempted murder do not require the victim to initiate charges being brought. It is up to the state prosecutor's office to make the call. In this case it would be the Orange County State Prosecutor's office. I am guessing the deal has already been made.

Sweet Home Sweden. Elin the Viking Queen in full Nordic battle gear, complete with one of those breastplate thingys and carrying a 3 iron, poster would be appropriate.

Tiger & Elin's new getaway bungalow. This is what you get for an island cottage and at a bargain price of only $ 2million. Wonder what it looks like under six feet of snow?

Report: Doctor being probed for PEDs
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=4744216

NEW YORK -- A Canadian doctor who has treated golfer Tiger Woods, swimmer Dara Torres and NFL players is suspected of providing athletes with performance-enhancing drugs, according to a newspaper report.

The New York Times reported on its Web site Monday night that Dr. Anthony Galea was found with human growth hormone and Actovegin, a drug extracted from calf's blood, in his bag at the U.S.-Canada border in late September. He was arrested Oct. 15 in Toronto by Canadian police.

Using, selling or importing Actovegin is illegal in the United States.

The FBI has opened an investigation based in part on medical records found on Galea's computer relating to several professional athletes, people briefed on the inquiry told the Times on condition of anonymity because they did not want to be identified discussing a continuing investigation.

The anonymous sources did not disclose the names of the athletes, and Galea told the newspaper "it would be impossible" for investigators to have found material linking his athletes to performance-enhancing drugs.

According to the newspaper, Galea has developed a blood-spinning technique -- platelet-rich plasma therapy -- to help speed post-surgery recovery.

Galea visited Woods' home in Florida at least four times in February and March, the newspaper reported, to provide that platelet therapy after his agents were concerned by his slow recovery from June 2008 knee surgery.

Asked about Woods' involvement with Galea, agent Mark Steinberg told the newspaper in an e-mail: "I would really ask that you guys don't write this? If Tiger is NOT implicated, and won't be, let's please give the kid a break."

Woods announced Friday he is taking an indefinite leave from golf to work on his marriage after allegations of infidelity surfaced in recent weeks.

A message was left by The Associated Press late Monday night seeking comment from Steinberg.

Torres told the newspaper Galea found a previously undiagnosed tear in her quad tendon.

"Excluding draining my knee, he has never treated me, but I did see his chiropractor who did soft-tissue work on my leg," she said in an e-mail to the Times. "That was the extent of my visit with him."

Her agent, Evan Morgenstein, told the AP that Torres was not available for comment Monday night.

Brian H. Greenspan, Galea's criminal defense attorney, said an investigation will vindicate his client.

"Dr. Galea was never engaged in any wrongdoing or any impropriety," Greenspan said. "Not only does he have a reputation that is impeccable, he is a person at the every top of his profession."

Galea, who acknowledged he has used human growth hormone himself for 10 years, told the newspaper he never gave any athletes HGH, which is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency. And Galea told the Times he has never combined HGH or Actovegin with his platelet treatments.

"All these athletes come see me in Canada cause I fix them, and I think people just assume that I'm giving them stuff," he told the newspaper. "They don't have to come to me to get HGH and steroids. You can walk into your local gym in New York and get HGH."

Galea is also being investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for smuggling, advertising and selling unapproved drugs as well as criminal conspiracy, the Times reported.

Hee, hee.

Maybe Gary Player was right.

Someone should tell Mark Steinberg that 33 year old people are not "kids".

Take one look at Dara Torres, age 42, and that is all the evidence needed.

Tiger Woods is recovering from major surgery after a high-speed car crash

Los Angeles (CNN) Tiger Woods was "awake, responsive, and recovering" in the hospital from major surgery, according to a statement on his twitter account on Tuesday, after a high-speed rollover car crash near Los Angeles.

The 45-year-old golf legend was driving shortly after 7 a.m. PT Tuesday in Rancho Palos Verdes when his SUV crossed a median and veered across two lanes of road before hitting a curb, hitting a tree and landing on its side in the brush, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.
Woods remained conscious and calm but sustained serious leg injuries,
He underwent a lengthy emergency surgery on his lower right leg and ankle at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, the statement said. The leg fractures were "comminuted", meaning the bone was broken into more than two parts, and "open", meaning the broken bone was exposed to open air, creating risk of an infection, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anish Mahajan said in the statement.

Orthopedic trauma specialists inserted a rod into his tibia to stabilize both the tibia and fibula bones, stabilized the foot and ankle bones with a combination of screws and pins, and relieved pressure to the muscle and soft-tissue of his leg by surgically releasing the covering of the muscle, Mahajan said.

Long road of healing ahead of him according to most reports. One leg with multiple fractures and the other "crushed." UGH.

The weird part is there were no signs of braking. He must have been hauling ass if he had no time to hit his brakes while still on the road.

I was wondering if something on the car broke, causing him to lose control. He’d been in the slow lane and cameras caught him driving below the limit shortly before the accident.

That said, unintentionally picking up speed going down hill is easy.

Seeing the condition of the car in those pics, he’s lucky to be alive.

Tiger Woods told deputies after car crash he did not remember driving

https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...-not-remember-driving-after-crash/6908862002/

Tiger Woods told sheriff's deputies after crashing a car that he could not remember driving, and he did not know how the collision happened, according to an affidavit for a search warrant used to obtain the “black box’’ of the vehicle Woods was driving Feb. 23.

Woods later said the same thing at the hospital, where he was treated for multiple leg injuries suffered during the crash, according to a copy of the search warrant affidavit obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

Woods initially was unconscious after the crash in Southern California when a resident found the golfer trapped in a loaner car and with blood on his face and chin, according to the affidavit, which was submitted by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Johann Schloegl.

“The deputies asked him how the collision occurred" at the scene of the crash, according to the affidavit ."Driver said he did not know and did not even remember driving... Driver was treated for his injuries at the hospital and was asked there again how the collision occurred. He repeated that he did not know and did not remember driving.”

Schloegl said he believed information stored on the black box — such as the speed the car was traveling at the time of the crash — would assist in determining how and why the collision occurred, according to the affidavit.

Data from the car Woods was driving “constitutes evidence that tends to show the commission of a felony or misdemeanor offense,’’ according to the form filled out to obtain the search warrant. But Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has said the ongoing investigation into the crash is not a criminal investigation.

“The investigators in the accident, or in the collision, they did a search warrant to seize in essence the black box of the vehicle,’’ Villanueva said Wednesday. “And that’s all it is. And they’re going to go through it and see if they can find out what was the performance of the vehicle, what was happening at the time of impact. And with that, they’ll have more information they can attribute the cause of the accident. And that’s all it is, and we’ll leave it at that, OK?’’

It is looking more and more like he was fast asleep at the wheel.

Someone that day should've thought about his past history with Ambien and gotten his blood drawn. Two prior incidents. I bet us regular folk would not have gotten that benefit of the doubt.

“A cause has been determined, the investigation has concluded,” says Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, per NBC News. After a 2017 DUI arrest after which a toxicology report showed five different drugs in the pro golfer’s system, fans have been eager for the police to reveal the circumstances of this crash. But Villanueva cited privacy concerns for Woods and his family — who the golf star has gone out of his way to protect since his crash, including by keeping his kids away from the hospital so they wouldn’t be swarmed by media.

Speed caused the rollover car crash that left Tiger Woods seriously injured, Los Angeles County authorities said Wednesday.

The accident was also due to Woods' "inability to negotiate the curve of the roadway," Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at a news conference.

Woods was driving at an estimated 84 to 87 mph during the Feb. 23 accident in Southern California, Villanueva said. Woods was driving in a 45 mph zone, according to The Associated Press.
