That statement AND no qualifiers...I feel like I don't even know you.

Wents has been 14th, 17th, and 36th in DYAR the last three seasons. Why would I give up ANYTHING for him when I can get similar upside and less downside with Jameis for maybe 25% of the cap value?

Eagles have agreed to trade Wentz for a 2021 3rd round pick & a 2022 2nd round pick, which could also turn into a 1st rounder. Good trade for Colts.

Doesn’t seem like a good trade for the colts to me, that conditional pick says he only has to play 75% of the snaps to go to a first.

a first for that contract? Yikes

Per Adam Schefter

Breaking.. Wentz to the Colts done deal for a 2021 3rd and conditional 2nd in 2022 that could turn into a 1st.

If Carson Wentz’s playtime is at or above 75% next season, the conditional 2022 second-round pick would become a first-round pick, per sources. The second-round pick also could become a first if Wentz plays at least 70 percent of the plays and the Colts go to the playoffs.

If Wentz can bounce back to pre injurie 2019 form and stay healthy, good deal, if not. That is quite an if. And Wentz is quite injurie prone.

But 3rd rounder and 2nd or 3rd and first for a playoff caliber QB at 25 Mio $ the next 4 years could be a great deal.

Oof. Imagine only getting a 3rd and a condition 2022 pick for for a guy that was touted as an MVP a couple of years ago and before this season started was in many analysts NFL top 10 at QB.

I think the Colts bent the Eagles over and emptied a whole tube of lube.

(I'm guessing the condi pick is stat or playoff related and may pay out as high as even a 2nd, but still cheap as hell)

Pretty fair deal. Wentz is probably damaged goods at this point but the Colts aren’t drafting high enough for a franchise QB and Stafford was too expensive. Worth a shot.

That's my thought too.

No one got more out of Wentz than Reich did. I’ll hold my criticism of Wentz until I see if Reich can restore him to his old self. I think it’s a great trade for the Colts, but time will tell.

I don't think Wentz will take them anywhere, but with what the other options were, good move for the Colts. It's a shame they couldn't solve their QB position in a more clear way though, I feel that could be a great team if they just had a top 10 QB.

It’s a 2nd that turns into a 1st if he plays 75% of the snaps, or 70% of the snaps and the colts make the playoffs. That’s as good as a first
