In Malone's case I think he thought he wouldn't be there when the Suns drafted. I'm not sure he didn't want to play for team. They did draft Jayson Williams who didn't want to play for the Suns.

Looks like Danilo Gallinari will miss at least a couple of weeks with an ankle sprain. The Suns play the Hawks at home on January 13th.
