We probably don't have a good chance of winning tonight's game without Paul.

Ayton is going to need to pick up his game as Saric is out for injury management. I guess we will see more of Frank Kaminsky tonight.

Cp3 averaging 28 mins so far this year. Id rather see them just keep his minutes down rather than take games off. Any time theyre up by 10+ he should immediately come out.

There is a fine line that has to be walked here. It would not be a great look if Paul feels fit and healthy to play and your telling him he can't play anyways. If they are that worried about it they also have the option of simply giving Payne more minutes in back to back situations. That along with the fact that offense still goes through Book quite a bit means they can do similar things as OKC did last year.

This is where the Monty-Paul relationship is critical. I’m not saying it has to be today, but at some point the player is going to want to play and the coach has to be willing to say no.

Does high altitude make one more prone to injury?

Paul's load is already being managed: he's at 28 mpg, compared to 35 for his career. Play him any less, and there's hardly a point to having him on the active roster at all. He gets paid too much to be only an assistant coach.

Puts more stress on one’s system that isn’t acclimated to it.

No MPJ, and Denver has been mediocre this year with him (20th SRS). We are 3.5 point dogs tonight so we probably don’t win with him either.

28 minute a game is fine. The 10 plus does not make sense. That’s a close game. You can’t make decisions that way.

To that end, our 21 point lead went to 5 in like 6 minutes. NBA is a game of runs. It depends on the situation and opponent much more than the raw point number. 10 might be enough against a thoroughly outclassed opponent that has no outside shooting and/or has quit on D.

I mentioned last night during the Jazz-Suns game Jordan Clarkson was going to get fined for shoving the referee.

Dario Saric's progress will be watched closely. He is out tonight.

Kaminisky and Jones could both play tonight.

Watching video of Jokic. He appears to be a much slimmer player.

It started during the break before the Orlando bubble where he worked hard to add muscle and get in better shape.

I'm guessing the Suns will get a look at former Arizona player Zeke Nnaji who I liked a lot as a trade down prospect in the 2020 draft.

Ayton has played well against the Nuggets. Let's hope he has a good game tonight as well.
