Without knowing the end result from yesterday’s hailmurray.....

Who would you send down to make that catch in the EZ?

27 year old in his prime Larry Fitz or current 27 year old in his prime D Hop?

of course it hypothetical and meant for fun convo....

I don't remember Fitz catching a hail Mary so I go with Hopkins, maybe he is less powerful then Fitz at his prime but his extra large hands are a plus in the contested catches

I honestly don’t think you go wrong with either guy. Fitz and Hop in their primes are 2 of the best receivers of the past 20 years. Fitz is a first ballot lock and I believe Hopkins will be as well when his career is over.

Fitz no question. He's not "just" HOF but one of the best WR to ever play. He's done it in multiple playoff games and a SB. The comparison isn't really fair to Hop at this stage of his career, but I'd take Fitz every day.

Not arguing with you because Larry is my ATF player and probably always will be. During their first 7 years in the league, here is a comparison:

LF 613 catches for 8,204 yards
DH 632 catches for 8,602 yards

We are extremely lucky to have both of these future HOFs!

I go with Fitz. I am not sure of this, could be wrong, but possibly Hopkins can jump higher than Fitz. If so, on that one play with the exact same set up, Hopkins. But overall, I think Fitz always seemed to use his body better than anyone in getting position to find and catch the ball. So not knowing ahead of time how the play would develop, I would go with Fitz, who just might give you more varieties for success.

But what the heck, take either one. They are both the greatest.

I guess I’m down as the outlier on this one

I go DHop, he is cold as ice. I like his basketball type agility

unfair choice:D

They'd both make the catch.

To obey the thread title to make a choice, I've been a Fitz fan since he came to the Cards, I'd go with Fitz.

I’d take Fitz and honestly. If Fitz right now was in same spot yesterday. I think he makes that catch too. Fitz has like 17 drops in his career!! And has the highest rate of completion percentage with balls thrown to him in the history of the game. I actually would have had Fitz down there but now would put Hop. I think Fitz actually is better than given credit right now. Fitz still looks quick enough to be a solid slot WR and still has amazing hands. I think he comes back Next year if we look close. Which we do

Fitz definitely has.... I vividly remember him catching one to end the game or at end of half and then just running right to the tunnel instead of celebrating with the team....

I think it was the end of the half.

Fitz in his prime over Hop, but it is pretty close.
