Can we afford 40-50 million salary for KM in 2 years? It could be much higher by then. The little man is playing mighty big.

You gotta pay for a good qb.

Already showing the ability to put the team on his back in situations.

If he gets a SB ring before the end of his rookie contract, back up the Brinks truck

The system is being built around him. He would be boarder line suicidal to go to another franchise that isn’t built around his strengths. Not every coach and teammate encourages you to slide 3 yards short of where you could dive

QB is the one position you pay no matter what when you find a franchise one, just ask KC. That is why you have to draft well so that your impact players on rookie deals when you have to pay Mahomes money to your QB.

Look for 700mil over ten years

but as long as it’s structured like mahomes contract it won’t be so bad

We could sign him for $50M per and trade him to Dallas for Dak and a #1, and only have to pay Dak $40M. An easy solution. :)

If he wins a SB like Mahommes did then yes you pay the man. I’m a huge fan but it’s a bit premature to be talking that kind of money until you do something in the league like playoffs and Super Bowl something! Like franchise changing something!

Yup, thats the only way he gets that sort of contract.

But it wouldnt surprise. He looks like he can hit the Mahomes/Wilson tier fairly quickly since he already outplayed Wilson.

He can maintain this level of play throughout this stretch.

He put up yards and points against the 49ers and WFT who are great front 7s.

He had a fiasco in Detroit but despite the picks he still played very well majority of the game and then they(1 and Kliff) overcompensated against the Panthers.

No reason why he shouldnt blow the doors off of the Dolphins.

Then take it to the Bills

A qb with his talent is so rare, matched with a WINNING mentality who can rally his troops and get it done is elite itself. It’s his mental and other intangibles which seperates good qb’s from elite ones. He is the man to drive his team to a touchdown if you’re down in the fourth quarter. You absolutely must pay the man.

Barring something wild, we're going to make him the top paid QB in the league by the time his contract comes due. It's kinda why we need to win now. We'll probably struggle for years - like the Seahawks - to put together a contending roster, once that contract is signed.

Lol let’s make the playoffs first.

I'm normally the first to say this kind of thing, especially about Kyler, but guys like Goff and Wentz (who aren't even top 10 QBs really), end up getting paid.

...Unless you're talking about my comment about winning now. I don't think we will end up winning now, there's just an emphasis on maximizing the rookie QB deal that's a big deal in the modern NFL.
