Tidbit on Cardinals passing defense

A couple nights ago Bill Barnwell was on one of the NFL or ESPN shows and was asked about the upcoming Cards - Seahawks game. He mentioned that the Cardinals have been exceptionally good vs. deep passes. Not sure exactly how that's defined). They've allowed only 6 completions on 33 attempts with 0 TDs & 2 INTs, and a QBR of 9.1. No other team has allowed a QBR of better than 50.

Joseph gets bashed alot, I haven't(I've bashed Bill Davis) but it's hard to argue with the #2 scoring defense and one of the top pass defenses in the league. I agree, that when watching the games, it seems like the D is struggling. But, at the end of the day, they don't give up alot of points.

Of course, they've faced Dalton and Flacco the last 2 weeks to go along with the pedestrian offenses of SF, WAS, Detroit, and Carolina. So that's going to help the numbers.

They’re 10th in DVOA — 9th against the pass and 27th against the run. There are legit reasons to be frustrated with Joseph, but calls for his firing are prolly premature.

We are a lot more critical of what our team does because we see every play, every 1st down On a 3rd and long, And every missed tackle.

That’s why it’s so important for all 3 phases to play well and contribute. The opposition are professionals too. We can not pick every stat and situation but the bottom line is at the end of the game we have a bigger number that they do.

As far as who we’ve played to get to this point, reach back in your memory bank. We’ve made hall of gamers out of backup QB’s and RB’s in the past. So far, we are not doing that.

All that being said if we somehow win tonight 97.6 % of this board will be putting us in the playoffs! Lol
