Falcons bring back veteran blocker John Wetzel

According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Falcons signed offensive lineman John Wetzel after they waived young tackle Timon Parris.

Parris was claimed off waivers from Washington prior to Week One, and has appeared in four NFL games.

Wetzel has played in 42 games, two with the Falcons last year. He’s been in the league since 2013, spending time with the Raiders, Cowboys, Colts, and Cardinals as well.

#Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay, who is battling turf toe, is still receiving a second opinion. But don’t be surprised to see him miss the next few weeks, just based on the nature of his injury and the position he plays. But it’s not considered long-term.

Sources: #Cowboys LB Sean Lee is expected to be out six weeks after undergoing hernia surgery last week in Philadelphia with noted specialist Dr. William Meyers. Lee started the season on injured reserve and now is looking at a mid-October return.

S Andrew Sendejo, penalized last night 15 yards for lowering his head on a hit against #Bengals WR Tyler Boyd, won’t be suspended. His hit will be reviewed as part of the standard discipline process, and he may be fined. Sendejo is a repeat offender of this rule.

Burrow is good. Very good. The play that he was rolling out to the right and delivered a strike to the WR between two defenders was insane for a rookie QB to make.

He did look outstanding. I thought Zac Taylor's offense was fairly unimaginative.

The Bengals need a lot of pieces to be good
