Typical, typical, typical! Peralta, leading off the top of the 2nd,
shows why he is hitting around .300 by going against Lovullo
and hits a line drive double.

Escobar, hitting in the doldrums, follows the manager's edict
of "lift" and pops up.

The Marte's were the only other D-backs to go against Lovullo
and hit line drives. And now Starling is gone, not even allowed
to finish the season.

And Ahmed pops up. But not long enough to get a sac fly.

The rookie Varsho strands runners on 2B & 3B with, guess what,
another pop up.

I despise the ignorant, rigid, losing "leader"ship of Lovullo!

Popup, popup, popup. Two runners left in scoring position.

The longer he runs the team, the worse it will be for next
season and our young players.

And here he is on TV babbling about Gallen. Torey, you're
not helping him by encouraging your hitters to pop up.

And Gallen knows he has to be perfect to stand a chance.
That puts pressure, even on the young guy who has been
our best pitcher.

Walker with our traditional solo HR (in the 6th). 1-0.

Bob Brenly is talking about how the D-backs should
take what they give us and hit it through the open
side of the infield.

So Escobar pops up again. Doesn't he want to be
successful?

And Rojas, just back with the team, with a single. I
guess Torey didn't have a chance to indoctrinate him.
"In the air, rookie, in the air!"

Galen is our ace! We're through six innings and the only hit he
has given up was a single to start the Dodgers 1st inning.

81 pitches in six innings. Hell, Robbie Ray used to throw more
than that in four innings.

Galen comes out in the 8th with a 1-0 lead, having given up one hit.

He holds the Major League record of having given up 3 runs or less
in his first 23 starts.

Steve said that, when Lovullo was asked who his closer would be
with Archie gone, he said, "It depends on matchups."

Reactionary management. Kevin Ginkel is warming up tonight.

Ginkel gives up a 1-out solo HR to Mookie Betts. 1-1 game.

Galen's gem wasted. We do not have a closer.

And a double off the glove of Peralta on a leaping stab.

No one throwing in the bullpen.

We go to extra innings The D-backs are the last team
to come up with the runner-placed-on 2B rule. Varsho
is placed on 2B.

A sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly. That's all it takes
to take the lead. Take what they give you. D-backs
have not had a sacrifice bunt all season.

That makes too much sense. Dbacks will come and try to hit home runs. Only to pop out and strand him.

And, surprise surprise, a pop up, for the first out.

Calhoun walks on four pitches.

C'mon, Ketel. Line one into the gap. Hit by pitch.

Walker comes up with the bases loaded. He has
become our most dependable hitter.

Kenley Jansen doesn't look good out there. As
BB said, closers are not used to coming in with
a runner on 2B.

And he walks in a run. 2-1 D-backs. Bases still
loaded with the Freight Train up. Our other
dependable hitter. One out. Peralta with two
foul ball pop ups into the stands.

And another . . . pop up. Infield fly rule. 2 outs.

Can we cut Escobar this off season without much of a hit?

I think it's time to clean house with this team. Starting with Lovullo and get some new leadership in there and not these inconsistent teams lovullo has put out there.

Junior Guerra pitching now, with the chance for the save.

And the Dodgers try for a sacrifice bunt. On the third
attempt, Guerra throws it away and it's tied again, with
the winning run now on 2B. Fundamentals, huh?

Dodger runner has 3B stolen, but it's hit foul.

Ground ball up the middle. Out at first. One out and the
winning run on 3B.

The Dodgers could win the game with the easiest play
in baseball. A sacrifice fly.

Lovullo needs to be fired. Immediately. He is killing this franchise.

I'm going to shout this . . .

AS MANAGER, TOREY LOVULLO IS A MASTER AT SNATCHING DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY!

HE DOESN'T KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD STRATEGY. EVERY MOVE IS BY THE SEAT OF HIS PANTS.

I have nothing against him personally, but as a Manager, he is an ignorant SOB.
