Imagine being A. Young and Varsho being called up to play decent and only to get benched and we keep trotting Lamb out there.

I have no clue how Lamb is still in a Major league team to be honest

And Varsho is getting the Cron treatment once again.

'Hey kid, you earned a trip to the Majors because of your performance as an everyday player.
But now, at the Major League level, you will be on call. To pinch-hit, or perhaps get a start
at Catcher or in the outfield once in awhile. And you better be damn good at it if you want
to stick around.'

The D-backs promote players to train them for a new role at the Major League level, rather
than doing that training in the Minors, which is what Minor League baseball is for. To train
them for the next level.

It is illogical! Not every Minor Leaguer has the mind set to be effective occasionally and on
short notice. Hell, Jake Lamb hasn't been effective even when playing every day. Not at
bat and not in the field.

Weaver, with his 14.73 ERA, gives up a homer in the 2nd inning. Here we go again!

Then a walk. If he gives up an earned run every inning, he would actually lower his ERA by 5 runs
for the game.

Weaver gives up another homer to begin the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Do we not have another candidate to be a starter with an ERA under '14'?

The Minor League starters whom the D-backs brought up last season were
all instantly converted to sit in the bullpen and pitch on short notice, which
was not what earned them the call-ups.

Baseball-101. Just as with the DH position. See my post #6 above.

Our GM and Manager are so unqualified.

Steve just announced that he asked Torey Lovullo why Jake Lamb is back in the lineup tonight.

And Lovullo responded, "I'm looking for 'slug' -- a batter who hits it into the air."

That removes any doubt about who is to blame for the D-backs record.

Who pays his salary? The Padres? I have lost any hope for our hometown team
until we have a new Manager.

I am done for the night. Buh bye!

And I'll be watching the Suns and Mercury tomorrow, but not the D-backs. My senior citizen
eyes cannot take too much time in front of the TV. Or the frustration of watching our
mismanaged team.

He rewards batters who hit it into the air! Unfreakingbeleivable.

Duplantier or Young needs to replace Weaver in the starting line-up. Weaver clearly is not recovered from his injury.

Once again, Hazen needs to force Lovullo's hand and cut Lamb.

Pretty sure Hazen makes the roster moves and Lovullo makes the line ups either way, at this point both are at fault. Hazen could take it away from Lovullo if he just options him

If you were in a movie theatre and a fire broke out . . . and there were 60 people backed
up at one exit and 6 at the other, which one would you head for? It's common sense!

But when a batter comes up with three infielders on one side of the infield and one on the
other, where do our hitters aim it? Into the shift . . . or against it?

And Lovullo has told Steve that he played Jake Lamb, now bitting .050, because he wants
players who hit it into the air.

Torey's parents should have name him Stu. For stubbornness and stupidity.

And, in this game, we've seen the pathetic results, as in just about all of our games.

It is why I won't watch, or post in, games at this time. 95% of the time, it's the S.O.S.
