FOD by a hair.. which must get in my eye every time a tear rolls down my cheek as Costner asks “Dad... do you want to have a catch?”

Nobody that has ever played baseball says do you want to “have” a catch. It kind of makes it seem like a bad error for a baseball film lol.

I have The Natural, A League of Their Own, Bull Durham and Major League ahead. I haven’t seen Bang the Drum Slowly or Mr 3000 amongst some others.

Yup, I had posted the exact same thing!

That is why there is no comparing Field of Dreams to other baseball movies.

It is a family drama in a baseball related setting. Besides, Kevin Costner,
Burt Lancaster and the great James Earl Jones . . . what a cast!

And, as I posted, my former wife was from Dubuque and we visited the
location in Dyersville to see a couple of exhibition innings by a group of
devotees, but it was raining, so we stood around and talked with them
in the gift shop.

It is disappointing that I'll have to wait another year to reminisce.

Hopefully, COVID-19 will just be a bad memory by then.
